Well superheros traditionally go to parties with their costume and it´s rare when they change it for something else but I agree this could mean they see this meeting as something from work and not as a meeting of friends.

...which gets to me about Dazzler. To each their own but I feel like her Hellfire Gala outfit is actually *less* outlandish than some of her standard superhero costumes. And she's a rock star diva, exactly the type of celebrity who would be a showstopper in the real world Met Gala.

I don't doubt that she will end the relationship to be independent black woman and T'challa stop oppressing her, since she said this to him on Marauders issue. Pure nonsense of course.
