the book has also been below cancellation range for an eternity and charts low digitally since coates is the only writer i've ever seen who seems to want to intentionally make his books painful to read in monthly installments
I don't blind date I make the direct market vibrate

    It is time.
I hope the next writer keeps up with the Mayberry,Hickman,Coates Grand story theme and intimate cast. And hopefully a return to action scene.
Maybe the next team could possibly have more than one book.
A T'Challa driven Black Panther Book. One where he is making the big moves.

And a companion book that deals with the ramifications of said choices. And Giving side espionage Stories to Shuri /Hatut Zerea /Dora's and spotlighting some of the other Wakanda Super's.

Some BP fans are very fickle. They used to love Maberry until DoomWar, then they became incensed, and hated him.

I do think people tend to forget that Maeberry was actually pretty well received until the second issue of Doom War. Which was a shame because his Power arc was VERY solid.

I wonder what Coates will do next. I know some BP fans were hooping and hollering about him writing Storm too, I guess, competently compared to T'Challa, so maybe Marvel will give him a Storm book. not gonna lie, I'd be 100% down for that, plus he could have T'Challa be a regular that like Storm was in his book and it can be sorta like a continuation of his Black Panther run. then again, maybe he's just done with Black Panther and wants to try something entirely new after.
Wasn’t he supposed to do a Storm book with Jen Bartel or something?

Sales are not inherently reflective of quality. Often completely unrelated. Jeph Loeb’s Red Hulk sold well and that was not a good book. Or look at the box office returns on Michael Bay films.

I think Hickmans current Xmen status quo makes it tough for any x character to have their own thing going on. If Coates does have a Storm book lined up, it probably will have to wait until after Hickmans status quo has run its course.

I remember, and you’re right. The Power arc was a very strong first arc for him. And Hudlin’s arc with Shuri as BP was probably his strongest from his entire run.

Yeah, Hudlins last actually was another which was very underrated. It's a shame Hudlin left the book when he was at his best, but at least he left with a bang.
