Definitely a version of Storm I wanted to see more of. There's only so much "benovelent goddess" Storm I can take until I want to see her cut a B for trying to step up to her.

Yes, but this run didn't ever acknowledge him as the Juggernaut. I highly enjoyed this 8 issue run from Wood, but Piotr undermining Ororo's leadership/judgement was a bit OOC. If it didn't have that slick art, I might not have enjoyed it so much(and Wood's second run with the all female team was basically a complete disaster, so maybe he did get lucky the first time).

I think the art looks nice. I'm not sure of what I think about Storm using a phrase from Thanos. I would like to see expert stateswoman Ororo negotiating with the UN over a climate change negotiation(like, Ororo will fix the world's climate if they shut down petroleum industry and all related field, replants wild forests, and adopt human rights all over the world), not fighting random enhanced soldiers.

Colossus choking Storm was not abt Colossus at all but abt her letting a man who thought he had physical superiority over her know what time it was. Its a classic Storm trope.

I completely forgot how massive that lightning bolt was. I really enjoyed his Storm. When it came to boss moves she really pulled no punches IMO.
