I'm no economic expert but I can't see a way where Americans would even be able to live on reduced wages. All you have to do is look at your bills every month. The utility company isn't going to decrease their bill just because my wages are adjusted downward. There's not going to be some across the board adjustments on goods and services just because the minimum wage gets dropped to $4.00 an hour. Housing costs won't decrease, etc.

Yes, because the jobs would not operate in the US like they do in China with these terrible conditions. We have different standards and regulations here.

Not to mention insurance, food, clothing, etc, etc, etc. And for God's sake, don't get sick, or it's bankruptcy city.

Trump already thinks our wages are too high.

Meanwhile the hypocrite imports workers from abroad and manufactures many of his own products overseas.

and higher minimum wages. Do you want your wages to go down to $2.00 an hour or $4? Do you want your children to work in factories?

I would not be surprised if minimum wage in America went away entirely somewhere in the next four years.

So, how exactly does Putin know? Pretty obvious, actually. Probably has Trump on videotape. While he's enjoying the show, he tries to placate Trump with the above statements.

an increase in the MW means more unemployment or higher cost on products.

I can't see anything wrong with anything said above.

In a anthropological way, Trump may end up doing the country a service if most of his supporters on the right eventually grow disillusioned with him. By focusing the resentment of an overwhelming majority of the citizenry towards him, it could ease economic and racial tensions enough for actual cooperation towards a better future to happen. Better to hate one person than an entire demographic.

From the United States Department of Labor:

Myth: Increasing the minimum wage will cause people to lose their jobs.

Not true: In a letter to President Obama and congressional leaders urging a minimum wage increase, more than 600 economists, including 7 Nobel Prize winners wrote, "In recent years there have been important developments in the academic literature on the effect of increases in the minimum wage on employment, with the weight of evidence now showing that increases in the minimum wage have had little or no negative effect on the employment of minimum-wage workers, even during times of weakness in the labor market. Research suggests that a minimum-wage increase could have a small stimulative effect on the economy as low-wage workers spend their additional earnings, raising demand and job growth, and providing some help on the jobs front."
Myth: Small business owners can't afford to pay their workers more, and therefore don't support an increase in the minimum wage.

Not true: A July 2015 survey found that 3 out of 5 small business owners with employees support a gradual increase in the minimum wage to $12. The survey reports that small business owners say an increase "would immediately put more money in the pocket of low-wage workers who will then spend the money on things like housing, food, and gas. This boost in demand for goods and services will help stimulate the economy and help create opportunities."
Myth: Increasing the minimum wage is bad for businesses.

Not true: Academic research has shown that higher wages sharply reduce employee turnover which can reduce employment and training costs.
Myth: Increasing the minimum wage lacks public support.

Not true: Raising the federal minimum wage is an issue with broad popular support. Polls conducted since February 2013 when President Obama first called on Congress to increase the minimum wage have consistently shown that an overwhelming majority of Americans support an increase.
