    Default Deathstroke #2

Did anybody read it? I really liked the flashbacks and some parts of the present day story, but I felt that there were logical problems with the plot. It's not as bad as #1 (where the whole kidnap-Wintergreen-to-get-Deathstroke-to-change-costumes thing didn't make sense at all), but there's still at least one scene in #2 that was hard for me to process: the Racskowsi one. Specifically, the timing of it. Wintergreen was kidnapped months ago, but Racskowski's torturers kept him alive until just before Deathstroke shows up at the door? He'd be dead and buried by the time Slade got there.

But it was still a fun story if you don't squint at it too hard. As I said, the flashbacks were awesome, especially the introduction of Rose. And the art is really quite good.

    So what did you think?

I liked seeing Slade in a variety of different Deathstroke costumes .

Strange, Priest gets almost no attention when he's working on DC stuff.

Maybe because a lot of people are just really enjoying the book and don't feel there's much to discuss ?

Actually I enjoy this series, I don't know why no one talk about it. Only a few.

I can't wait to see what happens with Rose.

Maybe is too crude for some tastes.

For me it is jumping arround to much between the story and the flash backs. Which makes it hard to really follow the plot.
Maybe it workes better if you read the whole story but the single issues are kind of confusing.

I agree that the flashbacks made the plot a bit hard to follow but overall I still really enjoyed it. The dialogue has been great.

Wintergreen continues to be very entertaining.

(Slade disappears from the bar) Wintergreen: "an annoying habit. And he was doing it long before Batman."

A lot of Black Panther fans have been reading it, because it's Priest, but many of us don't post on the DC Boards.

One of the better books. I get the flashback complaint but it didn't bother me. I actually like the interspersed origin story.

    Absolutely!

"You're the genius who stole a plane from the Buddy Holly collection!"

Took me a second to get it, then oh...

And Wintergreen's subplot with Fredric in the pub was really quite great. There's a lot unsaid and you have to reconstruct the most important part after the fact, which makes it cool. I love Priest's non-linear style of storytelling when he's on top of his game.
