Default Has Bruce Wayne ever Run for Political Office?

has Bruce ever run for mayor of Gotham City? has he run for any other political position?

I'd like to see an extended arc where Bruce runs for President, like Lex Luthor did years ago. That could be interesting to see the storyarc play out, how Batman handles political developments and his crimefighting career.

He never ran for mayor. He became senetor for one issue in Brave and the Bold #85 and the Earth 2 version became police commissioner.

There is a brief arc from Detective Comics in the late 80s where Bruce runs for city council but it was all a ploy to lure Mad Hatter into running against him (or something like that)

No, he would not. Winick made Oliver Queen Mayor of Star City.

Grant Morrison: “Adults...struggle desperately with fiction, demanding constantly that it conform to the rules of everyday life. Adults foolishly demand to know how Superman can possibly fly, or how Batman can possibly run a multibillion-dollar business empire during the day and fight crime at night, when the answer is obvious even to the smallest child: because it's not real.”
