Comics have always been about freedom and recognizing all the potentialities.
“Embracing what has been put on them by the majority” is accepting to stay in a corner and be defined by the others.
It doesn’t have any pleasant application in our world.

It's more akin to using the term to unite mutants. In the real world it's more like black people being proud to black. The race classifications had been used to subjugate black people for centuries, used to treat black people as subhuman. But now black is beautiful, black is creative and positive.
I see the new mutant term like that. They didn't come up with the term, but they are going to embrace it and turn it into a positive for their people. So that they will proudly say they are mutants. That's what I mean by embracing it.

I would love to see ONE cross over --- even just a ONE SHOT (haha) where the two factions have sensible, reasonable, civilized discussions weighing pros and cons and then eventually coming to a rational decision that benefits both sides but more importantly benefits the argument (in this case, Franklin) most of all.

What a world to live in that would be!

With all that being said, I must admit that I side with Krakoa on the jigsaw puzzle piece erasure. Sorry, not sorry.

And I hope if this ends they do not get back to the "mutants are hated and killed on sight" or even registered. Better relationship between the two groups would be great. Not without problems but not the "kill them on sight" either.

Agree on that. When a fandom gets too invested like that, it's never good. This is the real world, not a Marvel comic book.

I never see the X-men as being nothing else than proud of what they are. It hadn’t to do with having a gene or a power, but because of what they have accomplished together… (despite the fact they were hated and feared).
This way, a reader who hadn’t cool powers or anything special could relate to them.

Humans are a subspecies of humans, they're not a completely seperate race.

I bought it up because the argument was that humans should abandon humanity completely, when they never could. They'd bring their own humanity with them.
Why is this relevant to X-humans? The message is that humans and humans are the same, both sides don't need to hate each other over what's in their genes.

They're still humans and if humans were a real thing they genetically could be considered a sub-species of humans They would not be considered a species on their own. Then only human parents could produce human children. All of them descend from "normal" humans. Many humans have "normal" parents. The O5 sure did . And humans can have "Normal" children. Luna is an unusual case....she is a "normal" human with an human mother and human father. By definition, "different species are simply different animals. They are distinct kinds of organisms that can’t interbreed. Even if they do manage to create offspring, the offspring are typically sterile" Consider the case of Reed and Sue and you have two humans who aren't humans but have powers via outside stimulus (cosmic rays). But one of their offspring is a human (Franklin) and one isn't (Valeria). It's just like you can't mate a dog and a cat and have it result in offspring. They are different species. And in the reverse, two dogs cannot produce a cat. But two humans have produced humans....happens quite often in comics.

You should call them both humans.

Agree totally with that and very hypocritical coming from these allegedly enlightened humans. I've seen some humans using that against other humans as if they are humans and we "humans" like you and I are "humans". Kind of crazy if you ask me.

Agree on that. When a human gets too invested like that, it's never good. This is the real world, not a Marvel comic book. What they don't realise if that even if Krakoa was real they'd be in the human cults, not sipping tea with Magneto, a human.

fails, he thinks he's a god. He has no time for human cultists. Even when he ruled Genosha he still tried to conquer humanity because he dint think they were his equals, despite being the same species as him. That's been his problem from the beginning.
