And then there was Ketchum saying that they could never advance because the school needed students. But there's been a change of guard, so hopefully that's no longer the case.

JDW has already dismissed the idea that a NXM book would sell on Twitter, so I don't have high hopes.

And if the upcoming Complete Collections DO sell, I thoroughly expect another excuse.

Miles Morales definitely (even when i find him boring), but Ironheart?, i thought that she was hated or did i miss something in the last few months.

Most of the NXM are roughly Laura's age +/- a year, and she's 20.

I like Miles, Kate Bishop, Kamala, the Champions, Nadia Pym, the New X-Men, the Young Avengers, Runaways, and pretty much all new heroes except Riri so you really shouldn't generalize.

He's also said he's not the final authority on what series actually get greenlit and that sales ultimately determine what gets sees print. Plus Cebulski is a fan. Not saying proper character advancement is certain, let alone a new series, but I'm not entirely pessimistic.

I honestly think it's just because a lot and most of these "new" characters are lame. Other than X-23 and Kamala Khan, I can't think of a single new character created within the last 18 years that screams interesting. That's just my opinion though.

Most of those characters I never heard of or wouldn't even be able to put a face to the name... *shrug*. I'm sure they're all probably all fine characters to somebody though. It's just me and my inability to care for teeny bopper lite characters.

I have bolded the ones I find interesting. The rest are redundant and/or otherwise uninteresting additions to a huge cast of existing characters. Prodigy only makes the list because they killed Synch and aren't letting him come back.

Uhmm Cyclops shoots laser from his eyes, Beast had big hand and feet was athletic, Jean Grey could read minds,Ice man threw snowballs and Angel flies with wings. When people say stuff like new characters are lame I don't get it.The characters today are far more complex and well thought out than alot of the early characters who got years to develop into something more interesting.

Like you said your opinion but original lame boring Xmen got a book in present proving it isn't about interesting it is about comfort and nostalgia. If these characters are given the same time to develop as earlier characters you will find many of them interesting.

Eh I doubt it. I just don't care for teen-aged characters(only a few exceptions). You won't see me arguing for the original 5 either, they were never my cup of tea.
