Thanks for posting! I like that the diaries are coming up again, and the confirmation that they are a mix of truth and lies. I'm curious what's happening to her and why it's similar to what happened to her the very first time.
"Danielle... I intend to do something rash and violent." - Betsy Braddock
Krakoa, Arakko, and Otherworld forever!
Wonder what possible futures Destiny is seeing, curious to see if some of them have any to do with any of the characters that are on the cover of the issue.
I can also already tell that I am going to enjoy this issue, I can already see that this is going to flesh out Mystique and Irene's relationship out even more, and honestly, I cannot wait.
"Assume I am appropriately terrified of the magnificent and monstrous Mystique..." Emma is hilarious, glad to see these three characters together again and hope they grow beyond their common hatred for Charles because they are very interesting when paired up.
Emma is the opposite of a devourer
She's A Lifebringer
Have we seen Destiny and Mystique's first meeting before? I always assumed they met in Europe, it's weird to me that it instead appears to be the American West.
In fairness, in light of her name one would assume would have lived in America for a while to match her literary counterpart*, and mystique was hanging about the old west for a while.
As good a place as any to meet
*as I understand it Mystique was Sherlock Holmes in 616?
This looks and reads amazing. My current favourite X-book, Gillen and Werneck know how to deliver the goods.
Immortal X-Men is the book we never knew we needed. I love this! I've always wanted Irene's story ever since I was introduced to the diaries in X-Treme X-Men. I never thought her relationship with Mystique would become what it is. I'm enthralled and so eager for more of their history. It's great to see them flourish in this era!
nice!! those pages look like the flashbacks from CC's X-Treme X-Men #1!

I was really looking forward to a Quiet Council book and it has not disappointed. This POV gimmick for each issue is working out very well.
The writing is obviously on point, but can we take a second to admire the truly topnotch art on display here.
