Default Can Batman successfully train Eric Cartman to be his new Robin?

Eric Cartman and his mom are visiting relatives in Gotham City and get mugged, resulting in Liane's tragic death. Batman jumps from the shadows to rescue the young boy from the sadistic murderer/mugger, and Cartman, so impressed by his display of proactive heroism, begs Batman to let him be his next Robin. Against his better judgement, Batman agrees.

Can Cartman be successfully trained into a Robin?

nope. for one, eric is too lazy and physically unfit to do even a fraction of the training that is required to be a robin.

for another, eric is a lazy, egotisical, bigotted, self-centered psychopath, who only gets away with half the stuff he does due to damn near everyone around him being stupid. batman would slam his ass so hard into arkham, it would make your head spin.

    A) Arkham's for crazy people

    B) I doubt even GM Batman would put small kids in jail for being dicks.

Kenny might be a better candidate for a Robin.

This is a kid who, off the top of my head...

1.) Made another kid eat his own parents
2.) Started a Nazi rally in his own town
3.) Destroyed a major city via Cthulhu

Yeah, Batman ain't training him, but would probably have him kept under close surveillance.

he also tried to kill his own mother because she wanted him to be a nice boy, trapped butters in a junkyard so he could go on a restaurant, and psychological destroyed his girlfriend to the point where she became a worse version of him because he didn't know how relationships with others worked. oh and he crashed a bunch of planes because due to his racism towards token. (there is more to that but that's the main gist)

I think it's less to do with who Cartman is and more to do with who Batman is. The guy has historically been protective of and unwilling to bring harm to kids. I can't imagine he's dump a kid in Arkham, no matter how evil and psychotic said kid is.

from "identity crisis". turns out that whole mess was mostly the fault of ray's ex, who killed sue dibny for.......stupid reasons. when he found out, she was like "well, what are you gonna do, ray? lock me up in arkham?"

then the next page, she was in arkham. not sure if everyone knew she was the one who killed sue.

He will for extreme situations, such as the time he shot Darkseid with a gun. And considering Cartman is basically as violently insane as the worst of Arkham's patients, I could see him putting Cartman in the asylum.
Critics who treat adult as a term of approval, instead of as a merely descriptive term, cannot be adult themselves. To be concerned about being grown up, to admire the grown up because it is grown up, to blush at the suspicion of being childish; these things are the marks of childhood and adolescence.
