I have never watched the movie Rain Man but the first version of the this song I heard was the one by the Belle Stars. This is an earlier version by The Dixie Cups

I'm a fan of the old blues masters. Some people think that music is uncool, and they're the least cool people who are drawing breath.

Formerly Toni Braxton, Chantal Kreviazuk, Sarah Harmer, Sarah McLachlan, SClub 7, early Nelly Furtado, Kylie Minogue and Amanda Marshall were singers I wouldn't cop to liking in my teen years (where you have to have something of a front or it's blood in the water). Katy Perry is a guilty pleasure (not someone I'd own albums of, but occasionally I'm in the mood). And then there's this, I think this retroactively became an embarrassing song to like a year or two after it dropped. Unsure where it stands now.

This song was a very popular Kodak commercial in the mid-late 70's

I always though it interesting how Bette started out as the next big soft rock singer in the 70s (including a duet with Tom Waits, covering songs by Bob Dylan, Phoebe Snow and Sammy Hagar, working with Todd Rundgren etc...) but ended up more of a variety, camp Vegas act with a huge gay following. She has some serious musical chops.

Poison became the symbol of Hair Metal/"poser bands" back in the 80's and were pretty much the punching bag for anyone who didn't like that style of music. "Talk Dirty To Me" is actually not a bad song at all. I'd make the argument that the opening riff is CC imitating Steve Jones from the Pistols imitating Johnny Thunders from New York Dolls.

Fun Fact: Slash from Guns and Roses ( who had a much grittier image) actually auditioned for a spot in this band.

I'm going rip off the story for this video and sell it to Image as a Crime Comic

Fun Fact: At the time Warrant got a lot of criticism for the video for "Cherry Pie"
