Hero or villain.
Hero or villain.
99% of DC's teens, kids and legacies.
Or did you mean IN-Universe?
EDIT: Actually, my answer works In-Universe too for the most part.

Hawkman, just leave the poor man alone until you FINALLY make up your mind about what version of him you should stick to you crazy writers.
Like for real, that's plain cruelty at this point.
Raven. That girl is all doom and gloom being the daughter of a Demon.
Hawkman after he was resurrected in Johns' JSA. Basically over a decade of Carter being rejected by Hawkgirl and thinking about all he's lost throughout his many lives. Not to mention all that turmoil he got caught up in with Identity Crisis, watching his best friend Ray Palmer's life fall apart, the Rann/Thanagarian War nonsense, and him basically living with severe depression for a very long time. And then he really only gets Kendra to admit that she loves him a second before they are brutally murdered by his old friends Sue and Ralph.
Don't even get me started on the DCAU version.
They hooked up once on Thanagar after Johns' run was over, but then Kendra left for Earth shortly after, while Carter stayed to help with the war effort. When he finally returned to Earth for good she was with Red Arrow (bleh). IIRC in Meltzer's JLA run he referenced Hawkman hooking up with Power Girl while off-world, but that was never actually shown in any capacity I don't think. So it wasn't ALL bad, but mostly bad.
Vic Sage...
The Comedian and Doc Manhattan double act.
Poor old Hawkman has to win the gold doesn't he?
Katar Hol?
Carter Hall?
Hawk God?
Adventurer?
Alien cop?
Alive?
Dead?
In a relationship?
Single?
JSA member?
JLA member?
All of the above? None of the above?
Who the hell knows! It all changes on the whim of whoever happens to be writing the character!
"My name is Wally West. I'm the fastest man alive!"
I'll try being nicer if you try being smarter.
