That's because The Lego Movie was made by Time Warner. Why give their opposition use of their characters?
No such problem would exist with having a Spidey figure in a Toy Story cartoon, of course, because Disney owns both Marvel and Pixar.

Disney is using Elsa in the ABC network television show Once Upon a Time. If there was any serious intent to draw the interest of young girls to Marvel comics, using a character such as Elsa would be a perfect fit. Unfortunately relative to overall Disney revenues, the revenues from Marvel comics are almost a rounding error, so it does not justify such an effort.
I never gave it s 2nd thought. I wouldn't waste any time worrying about this
"At my core I was never a hero, I was a hunter"
Gargoyles - Midnight Sons crossover would be great!
Also a Mignola drawn UlyssesII crew discover - Attilan would be epic!

I wouldn't mind seeing the Nightmare before Christmas (or just Jack) cast popping up in a supernatural or fantasy book.
Sign him to Avengers!
