Apocalypse and Death of Superman adaptation aren't considered good at all. Ultron is considered ok. And Civil War is not rushed.

What kind of examples were these supposed to be?

Didn’t Young Xavier read wolverines mind/future in DOFP? Wasn’t part of his promise to Wolverine was to not screw up with them like he did in the original timeline?

Been awhile since I watched it so I could be remembering it wrong.

DoFP Logan showed it to Xavier. But these movies aren't good at remember stuff, so ok.

When all it looks like is that you're repeating stuff from the last time, things need to change a bit.

I liked it! Watched it 3x so far, and I'm in. It got my attention & generated low-key eXcitement. Wasn't blown away, but definitely intrigued. Will be keeping track of further announcements/developments/revelations, as always, and eagerly await the neXt version.

than there is no reason why X-Men costumes can't look good with a few tweaks.
Cap's is easy to do, honestly.

As is Black Manta. It's just weaponized scuba gear.

Aquaman and Mera have the benefit of being from a different, thus "exotic" culture from the US. Think Black Panther.

The X-Men costumes literally make no sense in real world context, while being hated. If they were ever to be portrayed in the same context as the Avengers? It would then make sense to go out of their way to be colorful, and wacky, when it came to image and marketing.

Quality doesn't matter. The stories are rushed, compared to the originals. That's the point.

I liked the trailer. I wasn't expecting action sequences since those are clearly not ready yet, but we should get them by the second trailer. For a tone setter, I thought this was a good trailer to establish this is Jean's story and that they are committed to keeping it that way.

Logan knew Xavier suppressed her other self? Could've sworn Logan didn't know that specifically. Just that Xavier tried to control her when she went crazy.

I could be wrong. Still, why would he not suppress the insane power of a little girl with no control over said power?

Default New Phoenix Trailer Dominated by Xavier, Mystique, and Magneto (and Jean)

More of the same from the Fox - they are leaning heavily on James McAvoy, Jennifer Lawrence, and Michael Fassbender to support Sophie Turner as Jean. I'm sure Jessica Chastain will get some nice dialogue, otherwise she wouldn't have taken the role.

Well whaddayaknow - it looks like Magneto has turned on the X-Men! In addition to Xavier being the best telepath on the planet, he's also the biggest dunce. He shouldn't even have to use his powers to deduce that Magneto will turn on the X-Men... in a BIG way. Every time. Shocking news, I know.

There are flashes of the other X-men looking concerned, but not doing much of anything else. Of course, there's simply no room left to explore their characters, only their crazy "looks". Beast and Nightcrawler still look goofy in their make-up, real B-grade movie stuff.

The soundtrack continues to be a problem.

Is anyone else excited for Disney's acquisition of the franchise?

Change for the sake of change sake isn't good. It has to make sense.

Anybody, but in this case a little girl + insane power + no control = needs to be controlled to some degree.

Why would Xavier not suppress her power?
