I hear you Shalla. I try to never use the computer re-colored versions from Marvel or Comixology. I prefer the printed version 99 times out of 100.
There came a time when the Old Gods died! The Brave died with the Cunning! The Noble perished locked in battle with unleashed Evil! It was the last day for them! An ancient era was passing in fiery holocaust!

    Very colorful choice.

I think restorative nostalgia is the number one issue with comic book fans.
A fine distinction between two types of Nostalgia:

Reflective Nostalgia allows us to savor our memories but accepts that they are in the past
Restorative Nostalgia pushes back against the here and now, keeping us stuck trying to relive our glory days.

Okey dokey! According to the color wheel Kirby101 was kind enough to have posted, this cover features yellow to purple with blue thrown in! Enjoy!

    What wonderful covers…

And I was afraid you would overthink this subject…

My only regret is not to be able to participate.

But you do participate. You've picked the theme. You get to select your example cover, as well as voting. Plus, you also get to kibbitz with the rest of us as the week goes on. And trust me, NO ONE has ever accused me of overthinking here.

Lets bring some recent (sort of) Phantom!

People often forget, but they are allowed to vote for the example cover. People have won twice in a row, IIRC.

Having seen some of your justifications for posting the Frogmen cover, I'd say you're more than capable of overthinking.
