The MG costume looks even more out of place on a team like X-Force. Forget about its ugly aesthetic. I dont like it but I get the original fan theory about her wearing it around the island, interacting with the kids as it represents peace. It however made no sense for her to wear on the space mission and definitely not on a CIA-like title like X-Force. Jean should dress for her role and she's not.
They had Dauterman doing Teen Cyclops solo for a while, they should be able to use him on a team X-book at least for a while.
Hmmm...I might have picked up on it late...but with all the Moira setting a path on every reincarnation, trying out different ways to make sure Mutants survive, am I to interpret this as, some of the X-Men's history has been erased/changed?
Like the whole X-Men Red never happened, or Jean did not become Phoenix? Coz when you change something in the past, even just a little bit, that it ripples.
That's why Age of X-men never happened, or the Cyclops did not lose an eye...that kind of thing. The mutants that died never did and so on.
And that's why Jean is on a Marvel Girl, because she never had any of those other costumes to begin with? That's why its a mish-mash of costumes.
And whenever they want to wipeout any canon, they just need to kill Moira again and do something different?

Here's a version without the young guns thing on the Side. Posted on Russell's Tumblr: https://russelldauterman.tumblr.com/...-me-colored-by
Love that Jean is front and center, and I think this is my favorite thing he's done thus far. I know people hate it, but the Marvel Girl costume looks great here IMO.
It helps that the gloves look sleek, and not with oversized rims that make them look like giant dishwashing gloves, like in some renditions.
Plus her fabulous hair :-)
If they want to use this look my advice is just lose the mask. It could be part of the story where the mask gets lost or burned.
