Yeah I only stack them around 4-5 right now. Looking for some new shelves soon.
Action, ANXM, ASM, Aquaman, AatO, Avengers, Batgirl, Batman, B+R, Det, GA, GL, JL, JLD, JLU, Sinestro, SM/WW, Swamp Thing, Thor
Has the variant for the Busiek/Perez omni been shown? The mass market cover isn't great. Too much space is cropped off.
The Wicked + The Divine. TMNT. Uncanny Avengers. Midnighter. IXth Generation. Daredevil. Morning Glories. Street Fighter. Fables. Uncanny X-Men. Bloodshot. Invincible. Ninjak. Mockingbird.
Isn't it better for the bindings though?

Not sure how storing horizontal is detrimental. To me it seems it distributes the weight over a larger surface area and prevents the pages from pulling on the binding. I currently have mine sideways stacked 4-5 high with the spines alternating directions so they have cover boards spanning the curl where the pages bend to further distribute weight. I also make sure I have the heaviest books on the bottom of the stacks.

I might stack maybe two or three books that way, but it is never for a long period of time. I'm not an expert, but from what I've read here and other places, it might not be the best way. Most people here will attest to the "post-it notes" way of securing your books vertically, but I'll be the first to admit, I'm just a bit too lazy for all of that. I just display my books in the same way most libraries do and hope for the best.
I was sorting through my paperback collection and came up with a very specific question.
When shelving my JMS Spider-Man paperbacks (the first releases, not the Ultimate Collections), the one thing that bothers me is that my copy of Coming Home has a white spine, and all the following volumes, from Revelations to New Avengers, all have what became the standard for Marvel paperbacks around that time: black spines with white and red lettering, and a volume number at the bottom.
Does anyone know if the first volume was ever released with this standardized spine design?
Apparently Coming Home and Revelations came out in two versions: http://www.mycomicshop.com/search?TID=664961
What do you all think of Warren Ellis' run on Thunderbolts (Collected as Faith in Monsters and Caged Angels)? I'm considrering buying the TPBs.
