“ I was thinking of bringing up the Gentlemen Rules of Ryugan, in which the guests cook for the host to amend for a mistake. Want to join me in cooking for them? If they allow it?”

Willing to cook for team too, if they want it.:

Recognizing Chou's intention, Zaofan replied, "If it's alright with Chef Brutus here, then you can help out instead of me. I'll defer. 'Too many cooks in a kitchen' isn't just a cliche."

Zaofan then non-chalantly walked over to Etrina, placing his hand on her shoulder. He spoke lightly to her. "Hey, Etrina. Good questioning there. We could really use your observations at the conversation."

"The name seems familiar, but yes, it was before my time, sadly."

"Hm. I should have figured that may have been the case." She was only slightly disappointed she was just as in the dark about that subject as she was before hand. Many others had sought answers to that puzzle with much more knowledge then she did, so expecting her to luck out on it. "This Nosferartu that you trained long ago, did they end up becoming someone that protected the planet as well?" The name only sounded vaguely familiar, though to also be fair it was a decently common name in her culture.

“Preciate the understandin, but ain’t no need. She wronged ya, reparations are mine to make. Ya’ll help your friends up there and me and mine will help set things up.”

Brutus takes hold of Macey’s arm and steers her and his boys back inside. You can all head a few gruff commands, and the kitchen empties out quickly. The rest of the establishment does too, save Held still sitting at his table. Within five minutes it’s just them and the Bedlam family in the restaurant.

Chessy escorts you all to a table in the back of the kitchen area while Brutus prepares food expertly before you all. Alfredo brings Held back to you guys and then goes about helping Chessy clean up the front. Macey, meanwhile, sits on a stool near Brutus and pouts, arms crossed.

“Now, seems you wanted some answers, Yeah? So go ahead and ask yer questions.”, Brutus says as he amazing quickly prepares a lovely smelling soup.

“It was a clan and family issue, not so much protecting the planet. At least that is what Sera claimed.”

"As Kami noted, I do not have much worth at long range or stealth, and would be terribly suited for the attempt on the Stronghold. Yet with so many capable others headed for the Tournament I feel my place there would be a redundancy." The Oni shrugged.

That is a very interesting ability your daughter seems to have, draining ki....How did she come to have such an ability? Learned knowledge, perhaps inherited?" she looked over to macey and gave a reassuring smile. "It seems to share common traits with what I've seen regarding Vitamancy...but on a more small scale level. Yet the way you described her actions, it was as if this was something she was abnormally compelled to do."

“My boys are from my wife, see? Good boys, good stock. She sadly passed away and a few years later, me and another lady had...relations. She turned up a few years later with a squalling baby and said this was my daughter. Disappeared right after. Named her, raised her, and found out she needs to eat ki to survive. She can do that the way she was doing it to your boy out there, or just from touching a person’s hand or whatnot and draining a bit. Usually let her take some off me or the boys through hand shakes or holding my head in her hands, Yeah? I take care of my daughter. Only she gets ornery sometimes and likes to eat more.”

He glares at her and Macey just frowns harder and looks away.

Paid? Why would a legendary killer have to pay someone to help him cheat? Did this mean he wouldn't be able to watch footage of his allies getting the shit kicked out of then in the tournament?! If so...what a disappointment!

"Oyf! Cook!" Sasheem addresses Brutus. "Why....pay? Sea.....weak?"

"That's sad." Midori said, listening to him talk about considering his personal happiness to be irrelevant. She could understand wanting to make the universe a better place, but at the expense of himself and his emotional state?

"My sadness is also irrelevant."

But something else confused her, and she asked "Sexual contact? What is that and why do you consider it so important to dating? Do you mean like, kissing and touching your partner like in movies and TV shows?"

"You are unaware? Odd, considering your creator endowed you with sexual characteristics that are within .001% accuracy of human females. Most sapient species engage in mating practices for pleasure, rather than purely for procreation. It is my understanding that there are some who do it as a performance, professionally."
