Sarada herself was having the time of her life. Fighting never failed to get her blood pumping into overdrive, but there was nothing like fighting someone she had shared the battlefield with numerous times. There was an old saying on Vocado, "There's no better sparring partner than a friend," and that held true today. Not only would it serve as a highly delectable source of entertainment for all involved, but the chemistry and instinctual teamwork that was built as a result was invaluable.
She and Meagan would both become better warriors after this, guaranteed.
Just when she was getting into the groove and was about to kick things into an even higher gear, Incenio called out from the stands. The cry of cheater echoed through her head, a cacophonous accusation that didn't resonate until Meagan was jerked out of the ring and pinned to the ground by an unseen force. Mere moments later, guards from every nook and cranny rushed in to slapped some power binding cuffs on her.
No, Sarada thought, out of sheer disbelief. I told her. I fucking told her it was too risky. She remembered the conversation clear as day. Sure, she had concerns for a different reason, but at the time, she just assumed Meagan was going to try it before their fight. To even think of attempting something like that during their fight was not only stupid, but also incredibly reckless. This was the only result, the only way this was going to end. She didn't know how Incenio knew or found out, but he had; it was clear as day that he wasn't to be underestimated.
Makes me wonder how the hell Held and Blizzar managed to beat one by themselves.
"Tch. Figures," she grunted as she stepped out of the ring. She gave "Meg Luna" a dismissive glance. "She should have taken her sorry ass back to whatever worthless ****-hole she crawled out of when I spared her 'honor'," she remarked as she maintained her character. "Fucking cheater. What a load of bullshit!"
There was no way Sarada could risk going to break her out of whatever cell Incenio planned on tossing her in. Meaning she had no choice but to stay until Charco's fight, and then her fight were done and they were about to leave. Either that or hope Held and Blizzar were paying attention and already had a rescue operation in the works.
Meagan, you idiot! Why couldn't you just trust the others?
