Namor the Sub-Mariner, Marvel's oldest character, will have been published for 85 years in 2024. So where's my GOOD Namor anniversary ongoing, Marvel?

365 Days with Namor, Day 23

No, I'm pretty certain that blond American is NOT Steve Rogers.

    Saturday is the SWINGING SIXTIES
    Day 24

    Strange Tales #107
by Jack Kirby & inked by George Roussos
    Cover Date: April 1963

A cover obviously meant to recall the epic Sub-Mariner and Original Human Torch battle from the 1940s.

That's weird. I didn't think I had moved that pic. I guess I shouldn't wait so late to post stuff. ;p

LOL! You are a man of many names. I think in the Silver Age they changed it to Scourge of the Seven Seas -- more global. Or piratey.

365 Days with Namor, Day 24

"Look's like we've missed out on all the action!"

It doesn't look like that at all, according to the Black Knight.

But this blond American astride Namor's powerful back IS Steve Rogers.

    Sunday is the SAVAGE SEVENTIES
    Day 25

    Sub-Mariner #24
    by John Buscema
    Cover Date: April 1970

Last Sunday's cover is followed by one Namor's better rogues, IMO.
    But really, Tiger Shark?
Your altered DNA is mixed with 'fish man' AND an actual fish, and you want to sling that insult?

Really? How cool. I've seen a whale shark, but I haven't seen any whales. Not even a killer whale. But I'm not sure what Namor is chained to. It doesn't look like a whale or shark. I'll have to dig out the story. I remember Orka had attacked Atlantis with what were supposed to be killer whales, but I think they got them wrong too.

And of course they are big chains! And a collar and manacles! And they still weren't enough to hold the Avenging Son.

That's even more cool! They are the ones that sing. When I visit my aunt in California, I'll have to see if I can time to go one of those whale watching trips.

    Monday is the MARVELOUS 80s

    Defenders #83
by Rich Buckler & inked by Joe Rubenstein
    Cover Date: May 1980

Fifth part of the Ear Wings vs the Buzzard People storyline! Aptly named, The End of the Tunnel. Pay no mind that title on the cover.
