Yeah I could see it as scummy and maybe Moira turns out just being paranoid, but the risk is losing Krakoa.

Yep. Moira (now) and Destiny both want what’s best for mutantkind but they think the other will try and ruin their plans. Destiny is suspicious because she doesn’t know Moira’s endgame, and Moira’s reason... well:

But lemme stop. The X-Men and mutants as a whole have to be the shining paragons of virtue and righteous heroism or they can enjoy no happiness.
It's not even that. When I was younger, the whole point of the X-men was being above the pettiness of hatred. The outside world acted like lunatics, but the X-men didn't engage with it.

Back in the day, Emma was clearly in the wrong. She used her powers to assault protesters. The protesters were a bunch of idiots but that still didn't call for swatting them down with artificial orgasms.

These days? Emma is the hero, because the X-men have become reactionary and won't walk away from any perceived slight.

"A happy ending? So unlikely. We're not having a moment here.

Wrong city, wrong people, all huddling in fear.

No one escapes the slaughterhouse, and that's just where you're at.

(You could've asked Rebecca but then Adam stomped her flat.)

You think you're special cuz you're scrappy? You're deluded, time to go.

They have. Apocalypse just invaded and took over Otherworld and no one said boo about it except gambit and story wise, he being painted as whiny and unreasonable.

Morgan Le Fay attacked first and Apocalypse used Batman tactics to save the day and put Jamie Braddock in charge of Otherworld.

Nothing wrong. Glory to Krakoa. Read the book please.

Technically he took over Avalon which was at war, but it's not just for kicks, it's for the upcoming demon invasion. We hate those!

Speaking of Mystique, whatever happened to Psylocke messing with her brain? She became decent bc Betsy forced her via a TP lobotomy

Except that Moira clearly thinks that she's going to lose that anyways.

That would have been negated with the death and rebirth thing.

Why? If she was still good she'd have been returned to her existing mental state upon rebirth. At the very least, I dont understand why Xavier wouldnt. A Mystique that was reasonably decent vs one thats a untrustworthy psychopath??

But wasn't that more of a brain thing?
