Great so with this film's luck a second wave will surge in mid August. They're trying to drag Wonder Woman down with them.

There's no way movie theaters will be open in August. And even if they are I'm not going to the movies right away.
LOL at least the cast members and crew have a sense of humor about it all.

This is interesting The New Mutants maybe the only big movie to come out if Tenet moves because the other two big movies Mulan and Wonder Woman may also move.

So far, so good for Tenet sticking to it's spot. The problem for Warner Bros is it's an expensive movie to flop if there either aren't enough theaters open or no one showing up. Disney doesn't have those types of concerns about New Mutants. They can make theater owners happy, then put it VOD after the regular release window and make their money then.
It's looking like theaters in LA might be able to open on July 4th.
There's been rumors if Tenet moves, then it could shift to Wonder Woman's August 12th spot and WW moves to winter.
As of last weekend, there was 200 theaters in the US and Canada open - 150 of which were drive-ins and more are opening each week (mainly drive-ins). There's a total of about 300 drive-ins in the US and they're doing record business. Overseas, the weekend box office brought in several million dollars.
In terms of whether it's safe to reopen theaters - this article from Science Magazine about research into mass-spread events suggested that it's primarily happening at places where there is a lot of talking/shouting/singing:
Why do some COVID-19 patients infect many others, whereas most don’t spread the virus at all?
If that observation is correct, then theaters would be lower risk. The report about the choir in Washington made her realize that one thing links numerous clusters: They happened in places where people shout or sing. And although Zumba classes have been connected to outbreaks, Pilates classes, which are not as intense, have not, Knight notes. “Maybe slow, gentle breathing is not a risk factor, but heavy, deep, or rapid breathing and shouting is.”

Any chance this can be put on HBO Max? The Justice League Snyder's cut is opening the doors to a world of possibilities about movies.
