    Some highlights for me:

What excites me so much about this book is that Ewing has plans to do character work along with these galaxy sprawling plots. Love it when writers can find a balance between the two. Also despite having one of the better Reign of X books he seems open to constructive criticism and is looking to improve.
All of the highlights you listed are awesome, thanks for posting!

I'm especially intrigued by, "Also, two teams are formed. One of them is X-Men Red. And the other is...?"

I wonder if it's a team of Arakki.

Thanks for the highlights Kingdom X!

I'm glad the cast of SWORD seem to still be around. Wiz-Kid, Manifold and Frenzy didn't have as much time to shine; so hopefully their plots will continue in some form.

Ok, that's a relief. I was afraid they would be stuck in the background.

I don't know who, because it FEELS like they're definitely building towards Magneto leaving the Quiet Council for the Great Ring, Vulcan would be a curveball with major dramatic implications and repercussions down the line, and hell, I'm still crossing fingers desperately hoping for Maddy and/or Bobby to show up in this title because until my hopes are definitively trounced, I'm gonna keep on keeping on, but this part:

Then in #3, there's a battle between omegas that resolves in an unexpected way and causes even more of those political dominoes to fall.
Definitely has me thinking that like, an early plot point is one of Krakoa's omegas other than Storm is going to get into a fight with a Great Ring member or one of the Night Table omegas, perhaps not even REALIZING they have a seat at the table....and the unexpected resolution that causes political dominoes to fall is what they thought was just a random fight with a powerful Arakkii who pissed them off ends up with all of Arakko being like "well that makes you our newest Council member now, well done." And they're like....wait, what?

Also, Berto making nightclubs a thing on Arakko and settling in as Rick from Casablancas is so easy to picture, like, he absolutely would.

Ok that interview was EVERYTHING has me more hyped than any preview page could have. Seems like the major players in this book will be Storm, Brand, and Magneto with Berto, Vulcan, and Cable being sleeper hits. I love that we'll be seeing more of Manifold, Whiz and Frenzy.

I also liked how he thru a little shade at the fact that the tie in events keep undercutting his story beats.

Glad to see that Ewing has taken up the responsibility of Hickman's Vulcan plans which means I can breathe easy. Hopefully Marvel is smart and has him or Gillen I charge of the Dominion plotline.

And then the most perfectness of it all Ewing is fleshing out the Arakki and giving them some actual complexity.

Okay… just read this interview. It sounds great! Maybe a little light on the Cable info for this particular fan, but still an intriguing interview nonetheless. Also light on the Cable imagery (seriously he can’t make a single cover!?). But I did get these snippets for me and his other fans…

    - Cable shows up in issue #1 so he’s there from the jump (good!); and
    - Cable makes a potential enemy out of an unexpected guest… okay, I’m sold. My dude needs some new enemies so bring it on!

I also think this part might be referring to Nathan as well…

So they know about war, and they have ideas about strength -- which maybe aren't the obvious ones you'd think -- but what they really know is pain. So some X-Men are going to fit in a little easier there than others. The big question is what they'll become now that the years of war and imprisonment are over, and whether Krakoa has a right to influence that from the outside.
I mean, if anyone knows about war and pain it’s him. And Magneto too, obviously. So could be referring to him. Probably is, actually, since he seems to be a bigger part of this book than Cable. But both know war and pain intimately well. And Ewing knows his history clearly. I love that he referenced two of Sunspot’s former teachers in this book, who are Erik and Nathan.

Really looking forward to it. Hoping we get more preview art or variant covers and finally an image of Cable from this book. I really want to see if his T-O arm’s look has permanently changed, as well as whether or not his costume will get a redesign. I hope so.

Good points. I think Ewing is mentioning Cable will be there from the gate because Nathan will be part of the core cast, and story arc. I am sure he will get a new look. It would be a lost opportunity to only update the look of the arm and not have that translate to a new costume. Plus I think a new look with red, black and gold in it is overdue.

It seems that Ewing finally understood that people are tired of tie-ins and crossovers in his books.

Great interview. Would be nice if their was a link for the masses where we could preorder without relying on a shop to deem this will sell. Especially a book with such a diverse cast could really use some word of mouth from the masses, hopefully there will be a more direct market? preorder link at some point.?

Thinking about it, like how do we even take advantage of certain things to market comics to other people. Like during the pandemic are we like "contact your local comics shops ya'll and have them preorder a book for you." I mean in all honesty if there is no way to market these comics to get them into the hands of the actual readers and simply relying on orders from places that obviously aren't known for wide community outreach how are the people suppose to get to it if by the time it's available decisions have already been made based on orders that could only put in from a very limited source, shops.

    3 things why I think this will be my favorite x-series of Destiny of X;

1 - Sunspot gets focus, does business, will touch upon his Shi'ar ties and will be on Vulcan's list. Do not know if that means he is in danger or the opposite, I don't know. What I do know is he will get plenty of focus.

2 - Vulcan get's back to being Vulcan. As he was a very strong and interesting villain, I am curious if he goes back to his old ways. I like Gabriel, as I did in the past.

3 - Cosmic X-Men stories are always the best.

If Sunspot is into nightclubs now, I sure hope Ewing brings Ariel and Coconut Grove in the story.

I'm lowkey hoping he picks up is progenitor story and we see Finn again. The omega that helped terraform the earth brought back the stuff dormant in the soil itself so the resources on mars should be those long thought gone so who knows what could be growing on that planet. But then this book and cosmic xmen have so much potential and the body of cosmic work ewing has done it's like i want to see it all and i know that's too much but man this book has my head spinning. His recent stuff on GOTG, Defenders, NOVA, like it would make sense for any of those characters to show up now that sol has a real system to operate from.

I also agree with those who would like to see more of Manifold, Taki, Frenzy and Peepers, as well. Argh, this Age of Krakoa has too darn many characters I want to see! It's an embarrassment of riches!
Don't know about Vulcan but I think Sunspot will be key to Brand in building her alliances and moving him around like a chess-piece. She's the Petyr Baelish in this saga

Sunspot is no slouch himself, this is the man who took control of aim. Brand may have found her bobby fisher.

Agreed. And I do kind of like the idea of a red, black and gold look for Cable. Having said that, Bishop is sporting red and black these days, and if there’s one thing both these characters have suffered from its being introduced in close proximity to one another and both being time-traveling, gun-wielding soldier from the future tropes. So maybe best to keep Cable looking pretty distinct from Lucas in terms of his costume, and also maybe leaning into using the Light of Galador sword too over his guns a bit too. I really enjoyed his psimitar wielding phase in the 90s and wouldn’t mind him using that sword in a similar fashion, focusing his power (whatever he can spare that’s not actively fighting the virus that is) through it and whatnot.

At any rate, look forward to seeing what Ewing does with Nathan obviously.
