Miller is mostly promoting his book and upcoming Netflix series, “Cursed” so skip to 13:00 mark...


Miller talks about Year One. Praises for Superman as a character. Compliments Romita Jr. for his work there and Rafael Grampá who is working on Golden Child. He says we will love Jon and Lara. It’s implied he isn’t done with the DK universe as well as welcoming other writers/artists to continue to expand the verse. At the end, he also implied even though Batman has emerged as #1 hero of the superhero mythology over time, he wants Superman to be put back at the top.

Despite she already had a crush on him, Lady Liberty and The Utopian only came together and fell in love over time after that The Utopian's first marriage ended up in a divorce because his ex-wife (a Lois Lane expy) felt she couldn't live up to the standard sets by her superhero husband.




Btw, the show is set for a middle/late 2020 release on Netflix.

Kal and Diana’s relationship is founded on real life relationships. It’s taking the ordinary and gives it an extraordinary view but it’s still very much relatable. That’s why their dynamic resonates with so many. It’s not a fairytale, it’s not perfect. It accepts the challenges and actually dive into it without cutting corners.

While I'm estatic the concept of SMWW will be explored as a live-action series I'm also deeply disappointed DC isn't the company exploring it. Maybe someday when the current generation of writers/editors is no more things will change...

God damn, but to see all these franchises/ series being built around smww analogues. Civil War came AFTER kingdom come but MCU did their version of KC and we know what a success the MCU is and they even moving on to the multiverse. I have no idea what these people at DC and WB are waiting on. They would rather cherry pick elements and revise iconic stories that flop or don't go anywhere just to please a loud minority.

I guess if we want SMWW we will have to go outside of DC. Because when DC has it, they refuse to honor it. I wonder if we can get Frank Miller to push for an animated DK2/3? Wonder what Timm's excuse would be then? He said he can't do KC because they can't emulate Ross' art...but DK I am sure they can. And despite mixed reviews for, DK2 ( personally I think it was ahead of its time) and we know DK3 was successful ...both are in fact great to adapt. They have interesting antagonists and chock full of action. Plus we would be introduced to Lara and then Jonathan.

Oh my heart! This is incredible. No ifs, ands, or buts about this. They make it very clear this is about "Superman" and "Wonder Woman" if they had kids! 😭

It takes another company to recognize the gem and story telling potential which DC has, but ignores as they continually try to assert and pander a warped, cockamamie, undesirable pile of nonsense.

Gosh this makes me glad and sad at the same time, but hopeful nonetheless. 🙌🏾

This is what we don’t want. Rushing to catch up. It shouldn’t be a rush in the first place if they’d not ignore or try to devalue, twist and revamp the concept. Given how natural the concept is, the interest is guaranteed to be there, it’s really not that hard to jump on this.

But again, if it takes this to give a kick... Marvel, go for it 🤣

I don't have the emotional maturity to deal with these cutenesses dressed in SMWW, and even more so when the title is "Every Superman needs a Wonder Woman" !!!! It's a lot of love, a lot of cuteness in one place!!!!!

I don't know that there is any fictional comicbook relationship that speaks to me the way SMWW does. From their bond and friendship in the post crisis era to their romantic relationship, they just have that thing you would want in your own relationship: love, friendship, trust, reciprocity, honesty, respect, security, loyalty, dependability, connection, vulnerability with each other, understanding, compatibility, passion, safety, etc.

Absolutely what is there not to like? People have to deliberately go out of their way in order to twist/warp their relationship. It just says just how right they are together, because a lot of effort has to be made to make them appear wrong and even at that it just shows for what it is, blatant misrepresentation.

And one of my favorite images of them. I find it to be so poignant and powerful at the same time. It conveys so much.

Every time I see scenes of Diana and Clark comforting each other I feel touched by the sincerity of the scene, you see, maybe I can't explain it well, but it has a weight, a sincere weight, it transmits authenticity, so sound because they have so much so much in common, such a rich background, such a strong friendship that it is clear that each other's opinions have a very high value to each other, they communicate practically in their eyes, can read body language ... even now in Rebirth that deep friendship is treated as a contagious disease, is literally taboo, has a scene, if I'm not mistaken in Trinity or JL, but that she says something like "I've never seen you so nervous (or tense)" and even that gesture, that hand on the shoulder that was all he needed to talk in HiC has a heavier weight than any other gesture any other character can have or make to them.
