This seems to be the same old hero vs hero story who end up making up with each other in the last issue.

It's amazing how these threads go completely off the rails.

It seems we are back to "Krakoa is a cult"

The truth is ALL societies have rituals . This Sunday the UK celebrates mothers day . All over the country , despite government advice , families will gather to eat roast beef and Yorkshire pud , cake and give gifts and cards. Does that make the UK a cult ?
Soon comes Easter , roast lamb and mint sauce , simnel came , chocolate eggs and Easter bonnets . Religious services . Cult ?
Have you ever been to a Christening ? Cult
Have you ever been to a wedding ? Cult
Have you ever been to a funeral ? Cult
Have you been to a birthday party ? Cult.

In the not too distant future , here in the UK there will be a HIGH ritual enacted when a new king is crowned. Cult ?

Just think of the significance of those resurrections , war heros returned to life ! Of course that is worthy of ritual . Just think of " tickertape parades in the US.

Ritual is part of every culture.

Oh, the difference between religion and cult…

There was a thread and the conclusion was that the whole run has, at least, a cultish vibe.
Then some people are not bothered by that and others are.

I am just perplexed how anyone:
a) is enjoying this mini. It's hot garbage that has the same writing quality as all of the previous hero vs hero minis/events.
b) thinks that any character in this are written 'in character'. They can't be otherwise there would be no drama.
c) think that the FF's invasion, espionage, and assault in Krakoa is justified, unless the United Nations passed a "Susan's Children" act which forgives these acts of war on the basis of thinking their child is in danger that I missed.
d) think the X-Men or delegate teams who trespass on foreign soil to save lives of mutants and prevent the continued murder and acts of torture and mutilation on their own citizens is equivalent to the actions presented in this book by the FF.
e) think that the approach the X-Men used in the first issue was appropriate
f) can use the word cult multiple times when defending statements but still not meet the burden of proof to show that the Krakoans are cultists. Keep sipping on the anti-X punch they be servin....

The F4 sneaking onto Krakoa makes sense since Franklin has been targeted by X-Men villains before so they just went to see if the villains aren't pulling the strings. Everyone should've stopped their nonsense when they realised Doom had Kitty, Franklin and Valeria.

They shouldn't be fighting each other any since Versus isn't even in the title. The book should be more like Waid's Avengers/Champions.

The F4 sneaking onto Krakoa makes sense since Franklin has been targeted by X-Men villains before so they just went to see if the villains aren't pulling the strings. Everyone should've stopped their nonsense when they realised Doom had Kitty, Franklin and Valeria.

They shouldn't be fighting each other any since Versus isn't even in the title. The book should be more like Waid's Avengers/Champions.

I'll concede that it makes sense for them to spy and check. But the second they realized that they didn't have them they should have decloaked and decided to work together. Instead the attacked and sent this fake hero vs hero bs into overdrive. And it doesn't matter if it's in the title or not anymore, we all had suspicions from the get-go that this was a masked vs mini and the first issue confirmed it.

As soon as the 4F were discovered of their invisibility, the first thing Ben Grimm does is to punch Magneto.

Imagine what would happen if the 4F infiltrated a meeting of the French prime minister and punched his vice president. What do you think France would do?

Magneto's past reputation doesn't exactly serve him well. He has attacked the FF in the past.

-Snuck into their sovereign island instead of coordinating with them and visiting Krakoa themselves
-Once known that their kids weren’t on the island, immediately attacked a member of the Quiet Council and ran away

Only a fraction of the people on Krakoa are their friends. As I said some of the present Krakoans were treats to Franklin in the past so they took a more proactive approach instead of waiting around.

Also Magneto used his powers firsts so they probably over-reacted.
