Since they are in their realm...What about Warriors Three vs. DC's Trinity ?

    To predictable?

More sensational, who would put on the better variety show?

Imagine Lady Sif vs. Miss Piggy over who plays the female lead? Now there is a battle that will level a mountain.

Two of the three from DC's trinity would solo the Warriors Three trivially. Batman would need prep.

Wouldn't prep be his pretty well established M.O.? Why would you take that away?
If random chaos is what robbed him of his parents, family, everything he knew. So he spent the rest of his life being prepared for anything, so surprise/chaos could never one-up him again like it did that child. If you are true to the character, he is going in prepared.

Ok so while the Warriors Three are slumming in the DCU, what if they tangentially run into HB's Galaxy Trio?

Because standard rumbles rules doesn't afford prep time to the combatants.

There was an old Wizard of Oz comic book where the Scarecrow had telepathy, the Tin Man was basically a walking tank and the Lion was a human lion hybrid with superhuman strength. They might do better.

"Doesn't afford it"? For Batman? That would be dumb, taking away the characters incredibly well developed MO.
I mean it's come to be known it's how he fights along side and survives in a world of "supers".
It'd be like invoking Captain Marvel, and saying, rules don't afford it, he's got to fight as Billy.
It hearkens back to his origin and purpose, how he reinvents himself, to survive, to never be that kid who was a victim of chaos in his streets, in his world, in his life, ever again, ... by absolutely being prepared.
If you are invoking these characters fighting at their apex, where is the legit scenario where you take that away from him?

LOL, might be more of a challenge, I never read those, but do remember the covers were mostly just an excuse for naughty pinup art.
Grimm Fairy Tales of Oz, the Trio would fit right in after a few rounds, of course Hogun the Grim would be like- this is my kind of fairy tale.

It's in the rules. Without any qualifiers on the fight, standard situation is:

    1. Khazan arena.
    2. 100' starting distance.
    3. No prep.
    4. Bloodlust on.
    Edit: 5. Standard equipment.

If you want Batman to have prep, you need to set up the original post for him to have prep (and how much). If you want a scenario, that needs to be in the fight setup as well. Otherwise, it defaults to the above settings, as it does with every character.

Basically, Batman doesn't get a free pass because he's Batman. ^_^

Yeah that's not really a pass, that's more ignoring how the character operates and survives.
Otherwise who is showing up here?
It'd be like saying Captain Marvel, but then only allowing Billy Batson.

And with that forced analogy, what about...

I get what you are saying, but the rules are just there to standardize Rumbles Forum guidelines and trim the fat for a discussion. It keeps it clean and simple.

If you don't like it, its an easy fix. Just declare in the opening post that the fight conditions include prep time for Bruce and problem solved.

Bruce does not always operate through prep. There are times in the comics where he doesn't have it and needs to deal with stuff. He patrols without knowing what he's going to face, with only his Bat-belt, for example.

Beyond that, those are the rules and they apply to all characters, not just Batman.

Standard Rumbles Rules, he doesn't get prep. Just like Standard Rumbles Rules, Reed Richards doesn't get prep. Or Dr. Doom. Or Thanos. Or Black Panther. Or any of the other characters who become far more effective the moment they have prep, over and above their standard, no-prep operating level.

But then, as the Arbiter says, the option is always there for the OP to say 'Both sides get prep' (just saying 'Batman gets prep' smacks of bias, frankly...if Bruce has access to prep, shouldn't everyone? Bruce's prep being better than most people not named 'Doom' or 'Richards', of course).

It's perfectly fair, and up to the OP to define the circumstances if they don't like the standard Rumbles conditions.

It'd be like Billy Batson arriving.
If the OP says 'Billy Batson', then yeah, it's Batson, and he needs to take a moment to change into Marvel.

If the OP says 'Captain Marvel', well...it's Marvel.

Maybe we are just emphasizing the wrong qualities?

    Aragorn might be more grim
Legolas might just be more dashing.
and Gimli might get more drunk and have a longer beard to body-mass %ratio.

This isn't over... Warriors Three by a miracle scrape by the Three Hunters; Aragorn, Legolas & Gimli , and avoid the Starballs Trio: Lone Star, Barf & Dot, and find their way back to the Marvel Cinematic U
Now face off against Ant-Man's Antourage.

Fandral, Volstagg & Hogun v Luis, Dave & Kurt

So which sidekick Trio will have a longer life span in the Marvel U?
Defy the odds and actually make it into Infinity War sequel?

Batman doesn't really do anything most other superheroes don't do.

Bad guy comes up. Badguy beats hero. Heroes goes away, come up with new gadget/plan/whatever. Heroes comes back, uses whatever and wins.

The same is true for Batman as it is for Spider-man, Ironman, The Avengers, or whoever.

If Batman has a history of having to go back and plan, that just means Batman is out of his league or looses more than other heroes do.
