Dark Chou stumbles a bit as Sasheem toilet's him upside the head. He reaches up and lightning crackles from his mouth as he roars out and fries Sasheem after his mighty blow.

Or he would have, had Zaofan's blast not taken Dark Chou in the side and stopped his lightning attack from frying Sasheem. The beast roars and staggers back, healing from the wounds easily. Zaofan finds that Jinzi is dazed, but not too badly wounded.

Asha'rah's continued assault helps too, as her spheres hammer into Dark Chou's side again and again.

Sararda joins into the fray just as Charco manages to grab and hold one of the arms at bay. This lets Sarada and Jack get a bunch of hits in even as Ishtar gets closer. She powers out of the hold and begins dodging as Adam joins the fray, keeping the Android from laying a hand on her she begins powering up another blast in one hand

In a rapid fire motion, Megan, Sarada, Totoma, Chuan and Adam all strike the two targets, held in place by the real Chou, and hammer into them. Explosions rip into the duo and die out just as Charco and Jack slam into the Oni, taking her to the ground wit ha flurry of coordinated physical attacks. Meanwhile, Asha'rah's spheres join in battering Chou as Adam's blast pierces through it's head.

However, dark Chou's form regenerates and the Oni seems only somewhat amused as she gets back to her feet and starts fighting back, easily keeping pace with Jack and Charco, who no longer can land any hits.

A howl rises above the chorus of battle, and then the beast was upon the dark manifestation of Chou. Like a bolt out of the blue, Erosa flew out of the grasses and slammed, ripping and tearing into his chest while Asha'rahs Orbs followed and smashed into his face. . Her claws were ablaze with unnatural fire and her eyes glowed with blood red fury. Steam was pouring from her body that shimmered the air with its heat. The force of the tackle alone was aimed to throw the monster off balance....but that part of the strategy was of no concern to Erosa. She battered the creature backwards with all the force of her berserking rage to create a gap of distance between it, chou and the oni.

At the same time, Etrina emerged from the opposite direction. A crack of vials was hear, followed by a swish of a metallic wand as the air filled with a soft hymm and magic. The dust coalesced into free floating shards of ice, hard as diamond, that launched in a wave at the oni attacker. Using it as cover she closed this distance, spinning the metal wand in her hand gracefully. If she could reach her, she intended to show her own style of combat and strike with her wand in close quarters...using pin point hits with its point to focus her damage. It wasn't a club, or an energy attack....but with the right force and angle, it would hit as bad as any of the others.

In a display of technical skill and ki sensing, Charco and Jack weave around the blasts fired around them as they close on the duo. Thanks to Slak, Chou breaks free and suddenly there are two of them. One, a darkened and betentacled thing with strange, sharp edge standing before Jack and Charco as they charge, the other laying on his back,m normal looking and pissed, holding the two attackers down with TK.

Slak, having helped free Chou, can see Old Kami's frustrations. However, he still seems confident as he duels with Slak.

'I will absorb you, brother, for this. I will not abide your interference.'

Totoma grinned as his and the others attacks hit. Served 'em right.

His moment of triumph was cut short, however, as the two jackasses reformed. Really? They could regenerate? Fucking great.

He glanced one more time behind him to make sure Karine was safe--she was, but seemed kinda dazed--and then shot off towards the pair. When he got close, he formed a Kiho in his hand and slid, palm-first, right into Dark Chou's... stomach area with it.

She does create a gap, but Erosa is ill fought against Dark Chou. The thing regenerates and ripples, it's body growing a bit larger as gravity suddenly shifts and Erosa finds herself incredibly heavy. Dark Chou smirks and stalks towards her as she is unable to move, her body being crushed by gravity as Dark Chou manipulates it.

But she is freed as Totoma slides in and blasts Dark Chou's side, making him release his gravity spell as Asha'rah's spheres hammer him, keeping him off balance.

Meanwhile, Etrina slams the ice shards into the Oni, the shards sticking out of her back. As she darts into the fray, the Oni merely grunts at the pain and keeps dodging their attacks as she powers up another attack.

[Hazard]

Slak gets the pleasure of seeing Fife's eyes widen just before the fists slam into Old Kami's body. Slak hears the faint sound of Old Kami's scream echo, then die as he flees the mental landscape, leaving Slak alone in the dark of Chou's freed mind.

Heh.

Slak wants to fall to his knees in exhaustion. Pure luck. That was all that was. If he hadn't caught him by surprise... No, it does not do well to dwell on such things.

"Your mind is your own now," he says to Chou as he retreats back into his body. He opens his eyes to chaos.

Of course. Slak stands up with effort. The battle is not over yet.

Thanks to Adam's timely arrival, Sarada and Jack managed to land several hits on the Oni. The feeling of her bones rattling from impacting the enemy's flesh brought unbridled elation to the young Saiyan. She grinned savagely and pressed the attack, only to notice the blast forming in her hand. "Fucker," she snarled as she stopped the attack to lunge and grab that arm.

As his grip to the Oni began to fail, Charco dug his claws in deeper, but it was not an attempt to keep his hold. Instead, he used his remaining grip to launch himself forth towards her head. Bringing his head down in to the crook of her neck, he bit into her neck, gnashing his jaws as hard as they could, seeking to break flesh and muscle. Rearing back his head, he sought to rip and tear before she could properly respond to his savagery.

Midori, seeing the 'Dark Chou' stumbled and on the backfoot, charged into the battle and began throwing a complicated series of right hooks, left crosses, feints, and straight punches while peppering the combo with short bursts of fire from her her laser eyes.

Shiro, on the other hand, used her illusionary powers to turn herself invisible while creating a few illusions of herself. With that done, she sent her illusions toward Dark Chou to throw punches and kicks to keep him distracted while she stayed back, rapid-firing beams from her index fingers at him from under the cover of invisibility.

As Etrina's magic dust fist thing entered the fray, Jack stopped being on the defensive and instead took a few beats to focus on the battle, neither attacking or defending.

If she gets a blast off as close as we are...considering what's happened the last few times...shit...

Jack focused on his allies and the Oni as they defended, attacked, defended and so on. The Oni was faster, and likely stronger, so he needed the perfect moment, when her arm was open, and she was busy dealing with someone else and wasn't looking at him...

There!

Jack dove back into combat, to latch on the arm where the Oni was pooling energy with both hands and wrench as hard as he could away from the rest of the group, hoping to keep her from hitting them with whatever she was planning.

Thanks to Adam's timely arrival, Sarada and Jack managed to land several hits on the Oni. The feeling of her bones rattling from impacting the enemy's flesh brought unbridled elation to the young Saiyan. She grinned savagely and pressed the attack, only to notice the blast forming in her hand. "Fucker," she snarled as she stopped the attack to lunge and grab that arm.

Not fast enough.

The oni grins, slams the energy sphere into Sarada's chest, and says: "Blast Grenade!".

The energy explodes right against Sarada, blowing her backwards and cracking several ribs. The bleedback from the explosion also pushes Charco, Jack, and Adam away.

Efforts to fling the two away meeting greater resistance than expected, Kai focused on hampering the more durable opponent, the Oni by attempting to telekinetically restrain/slow her movements at opportune moments.

The oni grunts suddenly after her grenade goes off, being held somewhat in place by Ronin Kai. Kai feels resistance as she tries to power through it, but her movements are much slower now. He can see her eyes widen as she begins powering up another attack.

The Oni refused to relent. Ishtar's head bobbed even as her feet shuffled forwards. This one held to a Truth, it would be tested. As she continued to close the distance, even as more and more joined the fray to contain her cousin, Ishtar's mind reached out to the other one final time.

'What is your name?'

Combined with the benefit of the Chromakai's barrier, Asha'rah simply gave ground for time. Now through, Erosa asked her to protect Ishtar. Asha'rah could do that. She could be in two places at once.

"It seems your medical procedure will have to go sit in the Waiting Room for now."

Asha'rah joined Ishtar as she walked towards their foe. Now that she'd had a few seconds to widen her field of vision, she could see there was an oni present as well, perhaps the one at fault for twisting Chou into his present state. How had the oni gotten inside? Another question for later.

Ishtar was drawing lifeforce from the plants around her, sacrificing them to sustain her battered body as she advanced. Heading closer to danger in her current state was perhaps not the wisest course of action, but from the look in her eyes this was personal. Very personal.

"I would join on your Path for a time, should you wish it."

The Oni did not slow her pace when the soulful machine hovered into place at her side.

She wished to assist, to join her path for a short time and perhaps be of some assistance. In any other where, or when, Ishtar may have declined. This was a cousin, an Oni. The task was hers right this wrong. Yet she was ... weak, and the others had already launched themselves into the fray, punching and clawing and blasting at the Other in an attempt to prevent catastrophe.

Ishtar's head bobbed ... acceptance.

"Asha'rah. Thank you."

Asha'rah's floating figure glowed, her aura flaring into golden yellow rays that offered to envelop Ishtar, creating flesh where there was none before. Notably, the rays did not touch Ishtar's hand, respecting the oni's previously expressed wishes to allow the needle-boy his chance at surgery. In any case, the damage there would take more time to heal than they had available now. If Ishtar did not reject the gift, obvious burn areas would find new, healthy (if tender) flesh created, connecting what was torn, bridging her to wholeness once more.

Ishtar felt the trickle of energy enter her ruined arm and there was a .... recognition.

Asha'rah sought to restore the damage to her arm, create new flesh, and tissue, and bone; and yet the energy was stymied by something. In her exhausted state, the Oni's control over her inner balance was lessened somewhat. The light, and energy of creation that attempted to mend the Oni's arm was met by its opposite, and so her boon was rejected. At least for the time being.
