As definitive as he was...Lord Claremont wasn't the perfect writer many proclaim him to be, but he certainly wasn't as egregious with his bad habits as some writers are. He exhibited many flaws...but was able to get away with most because he was such a skilled story-teller. You cannot objectively say that about the current X-writers.

My theory about this event is in the beginning we won't see Scott & Logan+the Uncanny team nor X-Force(because they are still in the future at this moment). Only the ones who are in Age of X-Man will begin Prof X's plan. Indeed, at their return humanity won't know anything about them due to Emma's planetary brainwashing. They will create their new Utopia in a located area(moon?Mars?). For that purpose, I think they will steal some technology from the Children of the Vault. That's why the FF will battle them. We see a shattered crystal probaly the M'kraan and that's the connection with Lilandra and PF who will show at some point(what a good X-Men's story without PF these last years? lol). Scott & co want to find his blond, sorry, his redhead(or both who knows with him?). Blabla with Prof X and they want to help too. Unfortunately, Apoc & Mr Sinister are not happy to not be invited to the orgy, sorry, the new Utopia. IMO, Mr S is responsible of the creation of the 2 new amalgam mutants. The cyborg woman is Moira in a cybernetized body. I don't know what happen to the X-Men cast but I think most of them will diseappar. No old X-Men after this event for many years sorry fans but we know Marvel always screwes everything.
