I can honestly say I can see Daredevil going to 3 or 4 seasons.I love Cage and Iron Fist but i'm not sure about them having multiple seasons individually .Maybe if they put them together.I think Jessica has a great chance to get to 2 seasons.I guess we'll see.I feel like DD will be to tv what Iron Man is to the movies
Yeah Iron Fist for sure has enough lore to make it past the first season if the show is good. And if nothing else Luke And Jess can appear as co-stars in both daredevil and Iron Fist Shows. But I really think by the time these shows come out the team producing them will have a good idea were they want to take these characters. So if the show is good I don't see why all of them couldn't go at least a couple of seasons.
I hope that Nighthawk somehow winds up on the defenders, would also Bo cool to see Hellcat,Black knight and Moon knight. I think they could fit the street level hero thing, but I think the Knights will wind up tying into the MCU supernatural stuff that will probably follow the Dr. strange movie.
Arrow killed and still does occasionally. Coulson killed someone after sneaking up on them in the season 1 finale rather than capturing and imprisoning him. Also Netflix shows don't have the same restrictions put upon them by the FCC which is why Marco Polo and House Of Cards can show scenes that would never be aired on broadcast television. Given Marvel's deal with Netflix, a Punisher maxi series for them would be entirely viable in the street level heroes universe they intend to develop over the next few years.
To be fair Iron Fist could use a lot of the sets for Marco Polo at Pinewood Malaysia for Kun Lun. Hell, they could even cast some of the same talent to keep everything in house and local. Olivia Cheng would make a great Bride Of Nine Spiders and Benedict Wong can play Fat Cobra. They already film on location at that studio and Marvel already have a deal with Pinewood Studios London.
Sure, but Punisher killing is Plans A through Z. Arrow will kill if (he believes) he needs to, Coulson knew how dangerous Garrett was before and was going to be worse still, yet in the second season they spent a while trying to catch Creel not kill him. Punisher on the other hand would go straight to guns blazing, wipe them out' and that would get tired fast.
Based on comments in this thread, I definitely feel like very few people actually value Punisher beyond shooting guns and killing people. Which is a shame, because there is a rich character under all that. There's a reason he's been around as long as he has.
As an arc drama you could have Punishher work his way up the food chain of criminality. Even if he was able to kill any given mob boss outright,
without destroying the organization it means little. The Punisher has used more than one method to do that.
We seen Punisher go undercover as a mob soldier and deliberately get himself thrown in jail to get info to name two such instances.
There is a lot of territory a Punisher TV series could cover.
He could spend a whole season in the slammer if he was on TV.
So you can have him shooting his way thru the underworld.
Is Daredevil a prosecutor or a defense attorney in this series? Anyone know?
Punisher is one of those things that conflicts me. He's probably my favourite character and I'd love Marvel to give him a show but I'm not sure I see him fitting in the MCU. The Punisher is about as violent a character Marvel has, he wouldn't be killing one or two guys a season, he should have a massive body count by the end of the first episode. Add in things like intense blowtorch torture scenes or whatever and I'm not sure he is a viable inclusion in the MCU.
I guess we'll see how dark/gritty Marvel is willing to go with the Netflix shows but I suspect they'll operate within the confines of what's been established in the movies and AoS.
