That's what I'm saying. A crossover right now would be a benefit because it gets people in the shops, the fact that the publishers would be splitting the cash isn't nearly as important as it was a few months ago.
And I really like the idea of doing it through IDW. That'd be a really great move and encourage solidarity in the market, and would be good for everyone I think.
Though how they decide to split trade sales.....that could be a point of contention. The trade will be on shelves far longer than the floppies.
Ew. Well....if it's just one guy, then whatever. But if that's the "official opinion" then.....sheesh.One of the scarier things I've heard though was the Diamond guy talking about basically not being worried about the comic market because he thinks collectors will always buy comics regardless of the economic conditions. That's kinda head in the sand thinking to me that doesn't garner a lot of optimism.
I mean, to a point it's not completely wrong. I bet a lot of us kept buying books during the recession. Maybe not as many, but I know I didn't drop my entire pull list, just the excess. But when everybody drops a few titles from their pulls all at once, that's still gonna hurt a lot.
