Wow who knew Venom would be one of the best monster movies in a decade...the cg coulda been better but still pretty good.
There's a reason why they pushed so hard a decade ago to get Venom in Spider-Man 3. He's kinda a big deal for fans. Highest box office for a Spidey film featured Venom and now his solo is crushing it
Fascinating to see a Venom TV advert this evening, basically playing up the surprise element of Venom doing so well in the charts.
I may be in the minority, but I kinda want to see Venom face a villain that isn't another symbiote.
I am begging to appreciate Screen Rant. It has a reasonably clear perspective. They slightly overestimate the international profits because foreign distribution takes a bigger cut. They also forget that Marvel take 5% because this is still a licenced property. That 5% is waived in the MCU collaborations but not generally.
I really don’t get this push for Morbius. I can’t see him being a huge character, but Venom gives them some wiggle room when it comes to profitability.

I won't jump hard on the box office success of Venom. There is still a lot of work to be done for the sequel, that been said the first film is a good foundation. Can they start teasing Spider-Man appearing in these films? Not just Carnage.
