Am I the only one not impressed by the Maestro's current storyline in Old Man Logan? I mean, the art is solid, but it's nothing major (the story, that is, but the art is incredible).

It just feels like a MAJOR step down for such a powerful villain. In the right hands, Maestro could be a villain on par with Thanos in might and Doctor Doom in intellect, but it seems like Marvel and their writers, executives and editors have not a clue as to how to utilize him.

I mean, in games and other formats, he's a powerful Thanos-level villain who conquers planets and universes/timelines, annihilating villains and heroes alike for the sake of power, conquest and a challenge. This how the Maestro should be portrayed in the comics, and he should be an ultimate antagonist for Bruce Banner/Hulk and the Marvel Universe... not gathering an inbred Hulk gang and ragdolling an old man version of Wolverine.

Words cannot describe how much I love Mike Deodato's art, especially those that involve Hulk. His Maestro is especially impressive. It's just a shame that such a powerful & intelligent villain isn't being utilized to his fullest potential.

Maestro should be conquering worlds & universes & timelines, battling legions of heroes & villains, hunting powerful artifacts, or going head-to-head with Thanos who's the only villain who can challenge him both intellectually & physically 1-on-1.

Alas, Marvel and their current creative team of writers, editors and executives apparently lack vision/imagination/creativity. Not surprising, honestly, given the current state of Marvel Comics these days.

At least we can enjoy the artwork.

It's time for Marvel Comics to bring in a massive villain of infinite power and potential. An antagonist of superior intellect and vast power. It's time for the Maestro to rise! He needs to be a multiversal/omniversal threat. A destroyer of worlds, a ravager of galaxies, and a conqueror of universes/timelines!

I'd let him sit for a while, establish how this Immortal Hulk works and then bring back the original Future Imperfect Maestro.

    Because he's Immortal too.

I'm not sure of Marvel Comics continuity right now, but the Maestro that was in Future Imperfect already proved he was immortal. In Incredible Hulk #460 and #461 he fought Hulk in the Destroyer body. I'm not sure if it's the same Maestro that was in Contest of Champions.

I love Al Ewing's Immortal Hulk, but his portrayal of both Maestro and Gray Hulk left me less than satisfied. Maestro to me should be a Thanos level threat who knows how to use his limitles strength and abilities in ways Hulk has never conceived. And factoring in the Worldbreaker level, he should be Sky-father level.

I think describing Maestro as a Thanos level threat is overestimating him, just a little.

Physically, he should be on par or superior, and he doesn't lack for cunning.

But whereas Thanos has a constant drive tp push himself on and outward, Maestro has always been content to rule his own little pond.

In his own time line, he didn't engineer the end of society, he simply survived it. And though he slowly worked to repair his small patch of grass, he was more interested in getting a new babe for his harem.

Maestro is the seven deadly sins rolled into one. And one of those sins is sloth.

I wasn't suggesting that they have the same motives at all. Maestro is still the Hulk and desires to be the strongest one there is. My point is that Worldbreaker level is something he should have mastered along with knowing how to use some of Hulk's lesser known abilities offensively. He was the one that told Banner that he didn't know anything about what they could do. I have yet to see Maestro exhibit something Hulk can not normally do.
