    Roger That.

It’s a mash-up of a rant and question tbh. Sooo yea, I was minding my own business, looking for a starting point to restart reading Iron Man comics in Marvel’s wiki page. Then, lo and behold I find out Tony Motherf**kin Stark isn’t a Stark? And He has a brother? Like what the actual …hell? When did this happen? His dysfunctional dad played a big role in who he is as Iron Man as least that's how I remember it. It’s been awhile since I read any comic book.

Point is; I am shooketh. Can someone enlighten me?

    Thank You ^^

Keiron Gillan's Iron Man, ran from 2012 to 2014. The adoption stuff first came up in the second arc, The Secret Origin of Tony Stark. It didn't come up in the brief Superior Iron Man series by Tom Taylor, but Brian Michael Bendis's International Iron Man and Invincible Iron Man picked up the storyline, which Dan Slott is now continuing.

That's a big yikes from me. Why would they retcon his origin story? Bummer.

    Thank You though ^^

Because there are more stories to be told with Iron Man having a brother who can match him and another set of ideologically opposed parents than there are about him without them, as the very good new book shows and its themes about Tony's identity heavily depend on all of those things plus the old Howard/Maria stuff.

I will say Arno was a better addition from the retcon then Amanda Armstrong.

(Watch them retcon the two into biological siblings at some point).

Arno is a fascinating character. The Amanda Armstrong character would make good event comic death fodder. I know Slott is trying but the character is this generation's version of Aunt May. You just look at the character and wonder why they haven't been killed off yet.
