As much as I dislike how his runs ended, Bendis Uncanny was very fun.

Have you read Bendis’ international Iron Man, it started off real good then the last 3 issues were garbage.

For Cyke? Maybe-- but mostly leaning towards hell no. I'd argue the whole thing is a skip-able waste of time because the only contribution BMB had to the recent X-Men's history is bringing the "O5" to the present which, with any luck, will be swept under the rug for the foreseeable future. I'd also argue the "O5" didn't even feel like the O5, and neither did X-23 feel like X-23, etc.

But, eh, you're better off forming your own opinion about it. Borrow an arc or two from a friend before deciding whether it's trash or treasure.

Jean had more presence in death than Cyke in Hickman's entire run.
Hickman succeeded where 2010s Marvel didn't: make the X-Men villainous and irrelevant.
Hilariously, the X-Men have now fully embraced mutant supremacy and racism against humans.

Bendis' run was basically a Cyclops and Magik buddy-book, until the Last Will debacle. Bendis' Cyclops is a great take on the character and actually elevated him among his peers.

But all of this changed when the fart cloud attacked.

The cloud was really just a metaphor for the collective hate that Cyclops had accumulated until that moment. It even managed to linger and multiply after his death...

Brian's X-Books were cool and left a goldmine for the next batch of creators to tell more intricate plots, but then the new X-Editors attacked.

The Bendis run wasn't awful, it was just kind of there.

It read like filler while the X-Office tried to figure out what direction to take the books post-Decimation. Then the X-Office decided "screw it. Timeskip time!"

This is pretty much my view towards the entire run.

If the Long Will wasn't there, I'd give it a solid B+.

I can safely ignore BotA and BV but parts in the run drew the short straw. Cyke there was compelling though and managed to get a pretty great friendship with Magick. The Emma issue was...something.

Where she worked with Ben Deeds? That issue was awesome.

Nah that issue was quite good and showcased a neat use of a mutant power that was passive and didn't offer high offense.

I mean the...other break up issue.
