I still can't get over just how in over her head Jean is. She's not gullible but she is INCREDIBLY idealistic. And it also really drives home why she is the character doing this. Scott, Emma, Storm, Xavier are all VERY worldly characters. When Cassandra framed Jean for the Prime Ministers murder she reacted by being in shock, Namor had to protect her from the authorities opening fire on her. Then she told Namor and Kurt to let her stay and that she wanted to explain. Jean, sweetie, the time for talk is over.

Jean honesty thought the whole mess could be salvaged. She's an experienced woman but in her own way, she IS naive. And it's a naivety we don't see in the other X Authority figures.

She can always get advice from the jaded team on that score. Hmmm, and now for some tongue in cheek imagining.

Jean appears in some super secret lair with Magneto and Polaris at armchairs with sipping coffee as Daken plays on his IPhone in the corner.

Jean: The UN may not give me a country now with the whole world hunting me for murder.

Polaris: These things happen Jean, people get angry and do stuff like that all the time.

Magneto: Jean think of blowing up that ambassadors head as a accidental show of force. The UN is more likely to respect you now. It wasn’t before I had them wetting themselves they gave me a mutant homeland.

Jean: But, I was framed, I am not a killer.

Daken: That makes one person in the room.

Polaris: Jean be true to your self and fight for what you believe in and everything will work out in the end... or millions could die as our last try went, but don’t worry about that.

Magneto: So Jean who killed the ambassador?

Jean: Cassandra Nova

It's not shipping twice a month like Blue and Gold, so it might not need a dedicated fill in. But, I'm hoping Silva does an issue because he's drawn both Gold and Blue. He should draw Red too.

I agree, she's so idealistic. It was kind of sad watching her stand there in shock wanting to explain to every body and make it all better. I am don't think her plan would work out.

I think this version of Jean, with Utopia Cyclops at her side are the best two to lead together. With Storm being in charge of military and stuff.

Or instead of having a single leader, why not have a council. With like the 12 most qualified. Hmm, I'm going to make a thread.
