I really wish she would apply some of these techniques defensively. like create em or wind base forcefields.

Storm isn't a goddess of weather. She's a goddess of balance.

And electric based attacks are of no consequence to an omega level mutant of Storm's caliber.

No. Storm decided to tone down her common sense. In the hands of inept writers she become an omega level nostalgia jobber. Matt Fraction's Storm will never be used to dismiss Greg Pak's monumental solo. I just don't buy it.
