Honestly, I wouldn't bother to waste time on it, but all things considered, I hope Peter can explain things to Jonah. I mean, back in the old ways, Jonah would NEVER listen or believe the truth. Nowadays, at least he would be willing to listen.

Uh-huh. Now that he knows who Spider-Man really is, he has a better understanding than he did before. In fact, we're seeing it right here in this preview, as Jonah no longer takes it at face value that Spider-Man has become an actual criminal.

Oh hey, it's Pluto, the evil Maggia bankers from the Black Cat Annual! Nice synergy.

You mean, the annual where Spidey and Black Cat got married? (Geez!, better for Peter that MJ never know this).

Was shocked to discover today that this issue is out now and not next week, despite being the one to post the preview last week, which means it would be out this week.

Yep, picked it up yesterday. This issue made the most of the relationship between Spidey and Jameson and made for a really fun read, supported by some pretty frenetic art that helps set the tone. Some nice digs made at internet journalism, too, and ... nice to see Norah.

Really good issue, just finished it. Nice seeing JJJ again. Series back on track after the very disappointing 2099 strand.

Does anyone else’s copy have a small white tag with a number on it on the inside of the front & back cover?

Loved this issue as well! For me, just the commentary on the clickbait culture made me smile. Because, I knew that eventually I would be posting this response on a clickbaity website . Loved how Nora made the point that Jameson was essentially the father of sensationalist clickbait headlines. It made perfect sense.

Everything else worked as well. Great to see Chance and his casino. Action was top notch. I was expecting Jonah to go back to his old ways and be duped into thinking Spidey was a menace again, but hey, even after the whole robbery, Jonah believes Spidey! And it still works out bad for Spidey!

Loved this issue! Looking forward to the next one!

Agreed. You summed up very well why this issue was a great one, and good on Nick Spencer, too, for simultaneously calling back to and twisting some good classic Spider-Man tropes for a refreshing new dynamic.

Love the artwork by Iban Coello! His style certainly fits the kinetic frenetic tone like Gleason and Ottley! Hopefully he stays as a rotating artist on this book with them!

The story was also solid! Loved that the villains Spidey fought came from "Black Cat" Annual #1! I'm all for continuity like that! And of course, echoing others, the new dynamic between Peter and JJJ is fresh, hilarious, and all too awesome. Between this and last issue, ASM IS BACK BABY!!

Yeah, the art this issue was very something. Thought it was Gleason, but this artist is cool nonetheless! Hope he's on for the next issue!
