I don't know how well he could fight in the Commander outfit, but I've come to associate that Heater Shield and the previous outfit with Captain Hydra. I could totally see him wearing U.S. Agent's outfit. Whatever he wears now needs Hydra's green as the primary color though.

that could work. I'd, personally, prefer it to be a darker green; though.

maybe. but most of the Hydra shock troops that we saw during Secret Empire wore black and red uniforms. I remember thinking that they had stolen the design of Night Thrasher's armor, for some reason. but anyways...

probably. does Walker have a reputation worth preserving anymore? he was used as an antagonist in Take Back The Shield. and, before that, he was a mind-controlled stooge of the Dark Avengers; with symbiote arms and all.

kind of hard to fight in. that's why he switched to the battlesuit.

He switched to a battlesuit because it was a cosmic cube fighting armor. That doesn't mean he can't fight in it just like regular Steve doesn't need battle armor.
    Matt Murdock's cooler twin brother

Hydra-Cap fighting in a costume with a cape would definitely be sticking it to Steve!

I was just trying to avoid calling it a really lame look for the character.

You should have just said that so we could have agreed to disagree.

Why should he take John's costume? If anything Hydra Cap should take Miliant's Costume

No - the CC Armour look would work - he needs them Hydra Colours! He should take pride in and flaunt his hydra flag as much as he wore the American flag at the time.

As such, now that everyone knows his true colours, it only seems logical to stick with that.

Another option could be to put him in the "CA: Steve Rogers" outfit, and just recolour that into the Hydra colour-scheme - that might actually look better, even.

So, replace the blue with green; replace the white star with a hydra symbol (in black?) and all other white with that same color; what do we replace the red with? (Maybe yellow?)

In this day and age, giving the mantle of one of the few conservative super heroes to a villain? I know some people who would have a field day losing their shit over this.... which is maybe why it should happen.

But in all seriouness, I don't care. I would like HydraCap back in some way, though, as I think he was a very interesting character.

Nah, as much as I dislike Walker he doesn't deserve having Nazi Cap ruin his image/reputation like that. Instead have him keep his Hydra uniform. It's iconic and rememberable enough as is.

My first thought was that Hydra Cap needs to be forgotten as soon as possible but I like the Cap Wolf idea.

Have him go full werewolf, get shot with a gatling gun full of silver bullets and THEN forget about him like a bad dream.
