I'm more interested in deluxe editions of Fairest TBH. Probably won't buy these.

He did a JSA run that kind of coincides. You could read up to when Hawkman comes back "Return of Hawkman" arc and then jump in. That said I don't think you'd be confused if you just jumped into Hawkman.
    Yeah JSA, my bad.

Cool cool...I think I'll hold off until I've read JSA...Johns usually clicks with me, but I didn't enjoy his JL run..I think he works better on solo characters.

That crossover was the worst thing that could happen to Fables.

His Justice League post-forever evil has been pretty excellent. I'll agree the first few arcs were average but he really hit his stride since he got the Forever Evil event out of his system.

first few arc means like a year and a half worth of average or bad comics so I just gave up on it.

Yeah, I just read the first tpb and it was awful. Like, really boring, bland comics.

hope you didn't watch Justice League War. The same team that managed to take out every emotional storybeat from the Superman Brainiac story and turned it into a boring action orgy with an on screen middle finger adapted a story without any emotional layer and just made it awful and offensive.
Worst Superman characterization I've seen in a long time. Also SPOILER: Flash stabs Darkside ine the eye with a crowbar... almost punched my screen.

    You're strong.
    So are you.
    Romance of the ages.

To Johns credit, Throne of Atlantis (the comic) was really good. I definitely foig to check of the rest of his JL at some point. And the inevitable Aquaman Omni.

was that WW-Superman stuff in the first JL story too? Can't remember.
I remember liking the Atlantis war enough but after that it just didn't appeal to me, also Tony Daniel's art was never my cup of tea. Then came Finch who is one of my least favourite type of teas especially lately.

Nope. Entirely the movie. Then they went and made the contrive romance buts in Throne even worse! Because apparently people actually like SM/WW. For some reason.

Oh I hate Finch. I can't believe people actually like his stuff. The woman are fanservice dolls and the men look like melting wax.
