David Haller vs Dark Phoenix

Jean telepathically eviscerated Apocalypse who telepathically stomped Professor X who is at the very least on par with David/Shadow King.

If you count David’s father as being the same Professor X from the X-Men films, the mutant telepathic hierarchy – based on empirical feats – goes like this:

Dark Phoenix/Jean Grey > Apocalypse > Professor X > Shadow King/David

Of course, Shadow King and David have more powers at their disposal, and I’d rank ‘em higher than Professor X and maybe Apocalypse in an overall power ranking list. However, there’s currently no evidence to suggest that Shadow Kong and David’s telepathy trumps Xavier’s.



That’s all nice and good. It’s just the Phoenix Force is a planet buster. It wiped out the Vuk’s homeworld. Of course, the Phoenix Force has the power to restore worlds, too. Dark Phoenix’s raw power (+planet buster), matter manipulation (+superseded control over Magneto’s magnetism), telepathy (+greater than Professor X and Apocalypse), regeneration (+instantly healed a nasty stab through her chest), and reaction time (+blitzing Quicksilver and deflecting Storm’s lightning) is currently too much for David to overcome; however, he could match her power by series end. We’ll find out soon.



Firstly, prove Jean’s Quicksilver feat is an outlier. Second, David was recently shot and killed by a shotgun. Twice. He was saved only by time travel shenanigans. Yes, he’s stopped bullets before but only because he had enough time to psychically create an AoE field. Against an opponent who’s fast enough to blitz Quicksilver? He’s not going to do well.

The Professor X that SKing fought was years older than this young Xavier, and he didn't really beat the SKing. He was unable to which allowed the SKing to eventually invade David's body as a child. And again the SKing that David fought has been feeding on and Absorbing David's power for 20+ years which as stated in show were added to his original powers once he got his original body back making him more powerful than ever before. So the SKing who fought Xavier decades ago would lose handily to the reborn SKing, and David was able to edge out a win against him. I already explained how her Apocalypse feat was over rated and not as grand as you think.

Jean showed normal TK against Magneto, and she struggled against him in both encounters so the "Planet destroying power" is not granted to her(even the train scene was lackluster as Magetos stadium feat beats that easily). Meanwhile David's Matter Manipulation instantly reshapes a Psych Ward and teleports people around to exact spots in a eye blink and also casually turns fully armored groups of soldiers into dust with a thought or finger snap if he wants to show boat.

For speed David's bullet time feat there was no set up or AOE set up time. If you have watched the scene you see that someone e literally busts through the door and immediately shoots at him. No words, or the shooter yelling "Die David!!" he just busts through the door and shoots. David's reaction to this suprise attack is to move his body in front of Syd(after the bullets are fired btw) and then stop time before the bullets cross 5ft. Also his Sking battle has his mental powers moving during lightning strikes that can't be aim dodged or predicted like Storms.

And Jeans speed feats were contradicted by both her Magneto fights, the entire hotel fight, and the final train scene where using 5% of that speed could have saved everyone and beat her foes, plus her break up of the train and saving people was something that Deadpool did in his movie in the car crash scene.

And David being killed by Shotgun fire is all plot related. Besids bullet timing he also has Auto Sheilds (:55sec in) shown on 2 different occasions(2:50 in) which deflected clips of Assault Rifle rounds.

So at the start of the fight David teleports their minds to the Astral plane then leaves her their and returns to the real world and easily kills her defenseless body as she can't return on her own. Or at the start he turns her into a Pig. Or at the start he turns her dust with a thought.

When did David ever edge out a win against Shadow King?

The last time they fought, they were clearly stalemating, with Shadow King actually appearing to fare better against David, and had him on the ropes with his astral spider form binding David in a web and bitting into David before they were interrupted.

Since David teleported the car with the Gun to that exact location along with Lenny the plan all along was for her to shoot the Rod and weaken the SKing enough so David could kill him, which worked out as planned.

I'm not against calling it a stalemate but David sticking to the plan and coming back from the Rods effects and SKing not proves that David was stronger imo.

Frankly, all the surrealistic, mind-bending **** they go through in that show made me want to see Stewart or McAvoy reprise the role of Xavier just so that there'd be the anchor and reassurance of someone familiar going up against the new and frightening.
