Yes, I liked that bit too. The Progenitor was right to rag on her for that.
I loved this issue on so many levels. I'll write more later.
Jean Grey in the words of Walt Whitman, from his masterpiece Leaves of Grass, "Song of Myself" (51 and 52):
"Do I contradict myself? Very well then I contradict myself, (I am large, I contain multitudes.)"
"Failing to fetch me at first keep encouraged, Missing me one place search another, I stop somewhere waiting for you."
Check out the various symbolic meanings for the red dragon: the "God of Fire" and "the emperor, the creator, the orderly, and the celestial power."

This was hands down one of the single best Jean issue. Top 5 material for sure
ETA: Thoughts on the black variant of Jean's costume?

Good writing and good for Jean but the art was all over the place in parts of the issue.
Do you think Jean being “the Phoenix now and forever” is going to be explored further? Because the Phoenix has literally been all over the place lately and I am very curious on how it is going to be moving forward or even explained with the other random hosts.
This issue was so good - her display of powers and the recognition that she has been given have exemplified why Jean Grey fans are so gung-ho about her The Celestial basically equating her to it was like DAMN, our Omega Queen is considered on a god level

I want whatever Aaron did with the Phoenix to just be retconned in the most disrescptful way.
No Odin/Thor bullshit, no Caveman Avengers, no Eggo.
The Krakoans are EEEvil!
THEY MUST BE STOPPED!
I'm not so sure about that. The writer of the crossover, Gillen, has obviously plans for the Phoenix Force in his current X-Men run. Exodus is creating a religion around it. He is obsessed with Hope for that reason. There have been several team-up moments between Exodus and Jean throughout the event. I was always left wondering why exactly?! Both characters do not share so much history together. Why are Gillen grouping both with each other? I think the moment Gillen introduces the cosmic force back into the X-Men world more explicitly, he has to address Jean in some way or the other. Also Exodus has to explain at one moment what Jean's position is in his new mythology?
We will see.
I sadly think that you’re probably right about that.
What is still funny to me is that Echo Phoenix got sent to death by “fire”and she still hasn’t resurrected herself yet lmao So hoping that this issue has something to do with that. Though I am loving Jean being Jean with so much power coming from herself, hard to imagine her fighting a celestial without her god powers. Do I want her to get fired up by the Phoenix and end the celestial? … ugh I don’t because that would make it the easy way out, but something like the Phoenix having some sort of communication and somehow influencing her as Jean Grey herself, yes.. am I sounding confusing ? Yes, as confusing as the Jean / Phoenix relationship lmao
