Zaofan was caught completely off guard, first with the self-induced head slam, and now with the deal. The poor boy must be famished! Maybe Zaofan was taking Etrina's mission a little too seriously? Besides, maybe some help in the kitchen would be welcome. And so, he relaxed his stance, and let out a deep exhale.

"That sounds... actually, reasonable. Would you like some pineapple with your bacon pizza?

    Clever.

Sarada's tail shot forward, and with it the knife she'd had concealed until now its edge aimed with intent to maim. The Oni did her best to throw her head back before the edge connected with flesh, but to no avail, the blade- Katchin- sliced through her armored skin and carved a bloody path up the right side of her face. If she lost the eye, the Oni knew not.

Blood continuing to boil however, the Oni set aside concern for yet another loss of self.

Before Sarada could pull her tail back, Ishtar shot her prosthetic arm forward and grabbed hold of it, the heat searing the fur and flesh underneath. Yanking the girl forward then, Ishtar's left fist burst into golden flame, and lashed out at Sarada's gut.

    Aša Vahišta.

OT: Stage 2 in 1 Post.
Blood surged up Sarada's throat and erupt from her mouth the moment Ishtar's enhanced fist buried itself in her gut. That, combined with her tail being burned and seared, sent her body's pain receptors into a frenzy. But, she persisted and dug down deep to ignore the shooting pain that threatened to snatch her consciousness from her.

Her attack points still cloaked with ki, she flattened her hand into a knife edge and brought it down on the prosthetic arm to free her tail so she could get away and regroup.

His arm began to reel back, but as it did the Majin chuckled. On its return back towards Sasheem, his hand grabbed Koorimaru by the ankle and he attempted to swing the Arcosians around the lookput as far as he could...presumably until he hit something.

Just in case this tactic would be met with failure, Sasheem's other arm began to reach out, gunning for Koorimaru's other ankle.
He moved to stomp on the arm as it retreated, but was alarmed to feel it grab his ankle and tear him from where he stood. Ripped from his position, a moment of panic almost forced Koorimaru into firing a Void Tunnel-enhanced Death Beam at the Majin, but restraint won him over.

Win or lose, what mattered now was seeing how far he could go without over-relying on his techniques. Now was the time to bring his mind to lessons he had learnt decades ago, as he blended the Snake and Dragon disciplines into his own variation of the Five Tails Form.

The Snake discipline encouraged an even mind and precision, traits necessary for its true modus operandi; subverting an enemy through its vulnerabilities. Those were principles he used even when he no longer practiced the martial form, but to use them now in a purely physical bout was something that his lack of practice was making him pay dearly for.

He could see another arm snaking its way, slithering on the ground.... and Koorimaru grinned.

An enemy's weakness is not merely what they lack... it's what their opponent has over them.

In mid-swing, Koorimaru's body pulled against the arm, his powers of flight now unleashing. While the elasticity of the Majin's arm was no easy enemy to contend with, a sudden burst pushed Koorimaru upwards, lifting both himself and the Majin slightly off the air.

Meanwhile, as the second arm came, Koorimaru prepared himself for his next counter.

Aiming for my leg, Koorimaru's tail swung forwards, slamming the second arm into the first arm, While you should have been focusing on this!

There wasn't as much pain as the Oni would have expected- a change that would be requested on the replacement- but it mattered little. Sarada hastily freed her badly burned tail and shot skyward to safety. To her knowledge, Ishtar couldn't fly, so she felt she had time to react to any possible attack.

The Oni was nowhere to be found, some sort of ice duplicate having taken her place moments after she removed her false arm. Her free hand gently touched her torso. The armor was more durable, but apparently not by much. It was badly cracked and damaged at the point of impact. She took a brief glance at the cooling appendage as her senses spread through the surface of the Lookout in search of Ishtar.

Ishtar watched Sarada take flight, as she considered her options.

The young Saiyan had taken her arm, and eye. She could live without the prosthetic for now, knowing that its replacement was on the way and yet .. her eye. Perhaps one of the healers could mend the damage, perhaps not ... it mattered little. This spar had quickly passed beyond what the Oni had expected, and now all she could feel was anticipation at the coming struggle.

Chi reaching a threshold now, the Oni felt her muscles tighten and senses sharpen; and even though the girl was in flight ... the golden-eyed Oni had only just learned of a way to help fight against her disadvantage.

Legs coiling as if ready to pounce, Ishtar took aim with her good eye.

    Vohu Manah.

The twin bursts of Ki expelled from the Oni's feet- learned from Kami- aided in the initial burst, and Sarada would hear of the Oni's handiwork before she was seen; the frost-clone shattering in time with the sound of the Lookout cracking underneath the force of Ishtar's headbutt- turned leap. Though the intent was not to strike the Saiyan with her horns, oh no.

It was to simply close the distance.

A burning hand wrapping around Sarada's ankle then a second after the Oni was revealed from her glamor, and Sarada's view would sharply shift from the heavens, to the Lookout's floor, as Ishtar tugged and threw the girl from the heavens. The Oni following the girl down with the intent to crush her underfoot.

So much happened so quickly that Sarada barely had time to process it before Ishtar was on her. By the time she recognized that a pair of blazing hot hands were clasped around her ankles -- causing her even more pain, to the point of gritting her teeth to keep from screaming out -- she had been hurled from the sky down to the Lookout far below. The Oni was close behind her, her freefall allowing her to gain much needed momentum for her next maneuver, which was to crush her under her feet upon landing.

The Saiyan very much didn't want that to happen.

    Cardinal Touch.

The prosthetic in her hand was imbued with ki, the hurled with as much strength as Sarada had at Ishtar. If it connected -- and since Ishtar couldn't change direction midair, it had no choice but to hit something -- it would explode, much like the piece of debris from her earlier fight. After throwing the arm, Sarada slowly herself down enough to land somewhat gently on the Lookout surface.

Bah! The stupid tail! The gecko tail! Why was it so strong?! Sasheem wanted to know if it would grow back like a lizard's tail should it be cut off...but thay was was something he'd have to figure out once the fight got more grounded.

    Grounded...

Sasheem wondered if he was forgetting something...and then he suddenly remembered, Koorimaru's tail had smacked one arm into the other, causing him to let go and fall back to the floor of the lookout...except the putrid porcelain prison he was stuck in had slippedagainst the surface ever so slightly....causing the majin to fall!

Stupid toilet! In some cases his power level didn't matter, the damn toilet still prevented Sasheem from achieving various basic battle skills he once had access to...and that included flight.

"Waaaagh!" Sasheem screeched as he began to fall. Quickly he stretched his left arm out and gripped the side of the lookout. He sunk his hand beneath the lookout's surface for a foothold and his arm stretched as far as it could go. He stood still for a moment, catching a brief breather as he hung between the top of the world and all that was below.

For a brief second he glanced down below him and still saw nothing but sky, realizing hiw far it would be if he had to fall. His face made a grimace that showed more annoyance at the fact than fear before returning to the task at hand.

The gecko-man was above him, but at this point Sasheem had no idea where exactly. A rational thought would be to sense for his ki, but Sasheem was not exactly know to be a rational fighter. His left hand still stuck inside the lookout, Sasheem began to sway back and forth. As he gained momentum, he tried used his right hand to shoot several ki blasts behind him, propelling himself upward.

Sasheem continued to swing and swing, using his ki blasts to increase his speed until he resembled a minature cyclone and once he was propelled upward, he released his hand from inside the lookput floor, the hand snapping back to him violently increasing his rapid spin cycle.

As he spun around, he wildly shot ki blasts in each and every direction he could, hoping that some of them would hit Koorimaru. A wreckless maneuver, but not entirely without thought.

For none of the blasts ever were shot at the ground below, only towards the lookout itself or towards the air.

Stepping through the hallway littered with the clutter and neglect of forgotten years, Ochazuke had only his footfalls for company as he stepped further into an expanse to which his sense-awareness revealed absolutely nothing. The chamber swallowing his senses was cause for trepidation as he entered it.

What could be there that it stills my insight? Is there some remnant of Fife's machinations still among us?

The interconnection of the ruin to the rest of the stony complex suspended there among the clouds put his alarm to ease for the moment, but the need to confront the truth of the matter pushed him forward one step at a time. Then two steps.
    _____

Thirty-four steps on bare feet moving on lacquered cedar in a practiced sequence. Six iron hands flowing through the movements he'd done thousands of times. A statement of himself in celebration of the master who taught him. Fanned fingers circled
then closed as he sunk into a crashing step and threw his fist cutting through the air with a kiai.

    HAAA--!!

Where he stepped trailing close behind him, he heard uncertain footfalls follow. Every one of his movements watched by novice eyes and shadowed by followers, the junior students of the Crane School.

    EY--!

Pensive steps soon fell into unison, aspiring to following his lead. Seperate souls, no longer lost, now united in a singular vision, quickly ascending into a perfect mimicry of form. The sleeves snapped as the punches were cast to a unified purpose.

    OSU--!

The clack of a cane felling on wood echoed through the chamber. He was one of four brothers under the gaze of their father.

    HAJIME--!

At his command they turned on each other to seek his approval. Only one could be the best. Without a wasted movement, Ochazuke's blows struck true, and with the same hands he'd used to raise them up, he'd brought them low in the kumite, his spirit soaring higher as as he stepped further into Master Chahan's wide shadow. By command, by design, the kata sculpted form into a vessel for desire. Only a fist realized with intention could fill it. The spread wings of the crane cast a silhouette to swallow scale, fang, claw and shell, trailing blood behind the visage of a man.

But this was not longer his path. The day the Tiger crossed his path had seen to that.

    Kou-ou Kudaku Ken

A wave of energy crashed toward him, swallowing up everything. The shadows in the periphery, the shape of the man. There was only this moment, as it was years ago, and Ochazuke had only one answer.

    Dodonpa

A precise, piercing ray collided into the heart of a swollen star, filling his foe's efforts to burst until she commanded it to explode. Rushing forward he cast his knee before him which was stilled in a deadlock with his opponent's. Stepping out of the Crane's shadow, he mimicked the motions of the Tiger as she, in turn, pushed forward in an emblazoned energy working.

“Tell me, what makes the Crane soar, Zosui?”

He reached to her and could feel his hardened fingers upon her calloused palms, remembering the taste of sweat and blood in the aftershock of mingling ki. Her dark eyes glinted pools, manifest of a subdued measure.[/URL] The Crane-Hunter had met her match; the Hunter-Crane drew her into more ambitious designs.

“What did you want from us?” she asked.

Ochazuke didn't answer. He still could not. Whether of fear or of admiration, he could only avert his gaze. Against a predator or in combat, that was an admission that one had lost already and the course had been decided. “You brought this upon her”

Six hands of white-hot fire surrounded her and split her visage apart: Six blood-red hands splint the pieces together into a grotesque, empty ruin.

“You looked away and watched her die.

The voice, stripped of pride, languished in sorrow and immolate rage.

    ...I know.
    _____

He found himself walking out the chamber from the same door he had come in. The halls of days lost reversed themselves in his view, as if Ochazuke had stepped through a mirror. He cast a departing look behind his shoulder and lowered his gaze with a small sigh.

    There was nothing left there.

He could not recreate the past, only bear its wounds and keep moving forward. It was in realizing this that he had found a trifling peace within a waking meditation. All the room would grant him was the weight of remembrance, and with the deathly reminder a renewed sense of purpose. Now he knew. He needed the strength to end the battle and only when he had the temperance to still others could he find his peace.

For that, he had an appointment with a Colonel.

"Excuse me, Zaofan. I take it by the smell you've already done stock of the storehouse." Etrina walked up behind, clearly taking stock of the situation. ".....*sniff*....Hmm.....you really need to cover up that smell. You'll have every person on the lookout hunting you down for food."

Turning her attention to Totoma, Etrina crossed her arms in dismay. "I hope your not intending to steal my assistant, if the smell he has accumulated bothers you so much then take yourself up where you can't smell it and wait for dinner...or go to the storehouse if your that desperate."

Grabbing Zaofan by the hand again, she began to lead him past Totoma into the library.

As the Majin skidded off the Lookout, Koorimaru took the opportunity to gain his bearings. Though free from the Majin's grasp, the experience was not without its share of lingering difficulties for him.

Having been manhandled so thoroughly was not an experience that did Koorimaru any favours, especially where he was focusing almost entirely on his ability to physically combat the Majin.

His eyes widened as a pink vortex spun from beneath the Lookout and out into the air, before firing a volley of ki blasts upwards.

It was a terrifying sight, but only insofar as in regards to the ferocity of the display. Random blows while dangerous in their own right, lacked much of the precision that a truly well-placed ki blast could deliver. And furthermore, whether the Majin realised it or not, his time in the range of Koorimaru's Doomsday Sloth had both impeded the speed at which the blasts were launched and their overall strength.

But now so far out of range, the speed at which they were produced as well as their level of strength would begin to recover until the Majin was once again in range. And that meant Koorimaru had to move in, and fast.

His body lifted in the air, swerving past the initial volley of blasts... before catching a number of them to the chest. Though reduced in power thanks to the effects of the Doomsday Sloth, they had no less of a sting. Snarling, Koorimaru swerved from the next volley, taking every opportunity he could to push forward, waiting until the Majin tired out or until he was close enough for the Doomsday Sloth to once again take effect.

Probably both, knowing how people were...

"Now go, before that... delicious, yummy, scrumptious, epic cape of yours..." He paused. "...can I eat the cape to tide me ov--"

He quickly slammed himself into the wall again to quell that thought. "Grrr, DAMN IT. GO!"
Zaofan jumped in sheer surprise when Totoma slammed himself again, this time grabbing the tail end of the cape. "No! Not my baby!"

He then had to make a mental note for everyone whom he promised to cook for -- Meagan, Karine, Sarada, now Totoma. And that would be after he dealt with Erosa.

Turning her attention to Totoma, Etrina crossed her arms in dismay. "I hope your not intending to steal my assistant, if the smell he has accumulated bothers you so much then take yourself up where you can't smell it and wait for dinner...or go to the storehouse if your that desperate."
    "Assistant...?"

Grabbing Zaofan by the hand again, she began to lead him past Totoma into the library.
Despite hands that had cut through countless cement bricks, despite fists that punched the stone golem Damask, despite fingers that twirled a katchin bo staff like it was a pencil, he felt the grip pressure squeezing his hand. "Atch atch atch atch atch atch!"

Clumsily trying to keep step with Etrina, Zaofan spoke up, "Okay, okay! I have most of the ingredients and all cooking supplies I could find! But wait... what do I get out of this?"

She clenched her fist, and started to gather her ki around it.
“Fist of the Gods, Style 9: Phoenix Rising!”

A massive flaming energy shot in the shape of a massive bird rips from her shoulders and flies up, than downwards towards Sarada.
