Genis-vell (Captain Marvel) ghosted because of a petty fued between Peter David and Joe Q. One of the most complex characters and best cosmic writing not done by DnA since the Infinity Guantlet/Silver Surfer and before that Starlin's glory days.
Mar-vell (Captain Marvel) dead but red herringly teased for ages to drum up sales. Mar-vell sells but there is a combination of Marvel trying their darndest to get Carol over
and maybe some handshake deal with Starlin.
To be honest the best way for Marvel Comics to ever get me to buy a Captain Carol book would be to bring (not in a dream, not as a red herring) these characters back though they have a more legitimate claim to the title, they don't need the moniker I just want them back in the Marvel universe.
Madelyne Pryor (the Goblin Queen) not sure when is the last time we have seen the 'real' Maddy since Inferno, her spirit was in X-Man, then there were alternate versions (Mutant X and Teen Demon Maddy) but real 616 Maddy was that her in the Sisterhood or the Red Queen??? Who knows. I just know she was a major part of the Outback era X-Men and hasn't really been used much since.

honorable mention the Union Jack and Captain Britain. Hopefully UJ shows up in the Invaders book. As well as Jack of Hearts loved him since his Iron Man appearances but assumed he was still dead. Hank Pym as both Yellow Jacket and as Goliath (Pachecho and Busiek picked my favorite two Pym incarnations for Avengers Forever)

Man-Wolf was just in Aaron's Avengers book. He's an Agent of Wakanda.

It's for the best. Marvel is determined to put Carol over. If they ever bring Genis-vell back he will be a villain or a total loser so Carol's place as the one true Captain Marvel won't be threatened.

When did Flash die? I liked him as Agent Venom.

The final arc of Slott's Amazing Spider-Man.
Continuity, even in a "shared" comics universe is often insignificant if not largely detrimental to the quality of a comic.

Thanks. That's disappointing. I liked how he wasn't a tool when he grew up and was a war hero, losing both his legs due to an act of heroism.

Marvel has thousands of characters--more than can possibly all be appearing on a regular basis in the finite number of books that they publish. So at any given time, all sorts of fan-favourite characters will be sitting in limbo waiting for a chance to show up.

Wiccan and Hulkling are no different in that regard -- there's no reason to think Marvel is ignoring them or wanting them to slip into obscurity.

On the contrary, Wiccan and Hulkling have been main characters in every incarnation of the YOUNG AVENGERS to date...unlike Iron Lad, Patriot, Teen Vision, Stature and Speed.

The two of them were also regulars in Ewing's NEW AVENGERS series. And an alternate future version of Wiccan was also part of the cast of DR. STRANGE AND THE SORCERORS SUPREME.

Marvel definitely has not been ignoring or neglecting them, even if we have not seen as much of them as we'd like lately.
That said, I would certainly love for the two of them to have something new announced in the next round of solicits. lol.

Nostalgia and legacy are unfortunately very powerful forces. It’s the same logic as to why there are like 5 Robins but still only 1 or 2 Batmans. I’m just glad that some characters managed to break the glass ceiling.

    4. The Exemplars and the Octessence

    5. The Darkhold
