I know what you were referencing...and from what I read, all of those involved in the project have much more respect for the characters and the fans of those characters than they did back in 1992. They now "get it", lol.
Supposedly, every character will be shown in a great light. While that remains to be seen, I am hopeful! For Rogue, they are planning on keeping her appearance and uniform very similar to the original presentation but her hair will be a little shorter.

As a sort of year-end round-up, got some questions for y'all.
What was your favorite comic that Rogue appeared in last year?
X-Men Vol 6 (2021) #6-12
X-Men 92' (2022)
Spider-Man 2099: Exodus (2022) #5
X-Treme X-Men (2022) #1
Captain Marvel Vol 10 (2019) #44
I'm actually gonna say Captain Marvel 44, it's fun seeing Rogue in a villain role for a short time.
plus a few I'm probably forgetting
Favorite Action Panel?
Here is my vote.
Runner Ups: 2099 Rogue using Doop's powers (Spider-Man Exodus #5) and Rogue using a special sniper rifle in (X-Men Vol 6 # 10)
Favorite Emotional Panel?
X-Men # 9 also had some good moments, but it was mostly centered around Destiny and Gambit.
Favorite Artist / Variant Cover?
Pepe Larraz, no more needs to be said.
Favorite Writer?
I feel last year was a weak year for Rogue, but Duggan probably still got to write the best version of her. Still wish he had utilized her more, though.
Anyway what about everyone else? : D
I liked when Rogue and Jean interacted, and Rogue borrowed some TK.

Say what you will about her relevance in last year's X-Men, but Duggan still writes a competent, fun Rogue. Same with Gambit, as a matter of fact. I've reread the first 12 issues of his run and really enjoyed it. <3

Happy New Year to the Sassy Southern Brawler and all her fans! I sincerely hope she turns up in The Marvels and show's Danvers what's what!

Thanks Rodney! I too hope for a tease or cameo of Rogue in the Marvels this year.
Yea, he knows how to write her, it's just frustrating when he seems to get side-tracked.
Rogue and Jean still need more scenes together! Best moment of them working together is still that X-Men Unlimited comic where Rogue goes after a child predator and Jean consoles her.Originally Posted by Phoenixx9
Agreed! At this rate, we'll probably have to wait till Comic Con in the summer.Originally Posted by Phoenixx9
