And several artists are able to take liberties with how they want their art to be coloured. In any case his Utopia costume was royal blue.

If you look at the cover in question Nightcrawler face is also on the darker shade of blue. In order to give the hyper real effect. Artistic license. In any case I'm not sure why it's such a big deal
