I like this design. I think it blends both Cat Beast and Ape Beast seamlessly. Every time a new artist takes on the X-books, there's often some tweaking to the designs and it seems to change with each issue. I'd like the artists to strike a balance at some point because Beast has enough problems with his character, as it stands.

I liked a lot of what Rosenberg had to say in the interview, but I've read enough of his X-Men work at this point to know that I'm not the biggest fan of how he executes his ideas. If he doesn't kill off any of the NXM crew, I'll probably pick this up once it's collected. Otherwise, no go.
