Miguey was back in 616. And SW2099 is a battleworld so technically doesn't count.

And that's just Bendis. Like many everything he says should be givin the salt treatment.

I didn't get to finish the 2099 Spidey series, but I remember seeing previews of him returning to his time post-SpiderVerse.

Why should I care? It's the same thing Bendis has been doing for the last 4 years. Even with the same artist.

people love a good match up. leo and scorsese, lee and kirby, lennon and mcartney, plant and page, etc etc.

poll results are very interesting. i’d take any online poll with a huge grain of salt, but it’s interesting how positive the response is despite the vocal negatives found in the discussion. negatives were to be expected but from the nature of discussion you would be forgiven for expecting it to be skewed more towards the latter.

Nobody paying attention to the Marvel promos showing BOTH Miles and Peter?

Guess not. Proof positive advertising doesn't work.

Close to 50/50 on a comic book board. Eww

The comments to the story are pretty close to 50/50 positive/negative.

No his venom blast takes away any tension I have to give a damn and the fact he needs to be another cliche refugee from an alternate earth just makes him more of a bore.

I've been a Peter/Spidey fan since I was a little kid, and this is some of the best news I have heard in a long time.

Its time for a change. They've hit a dead end with the current status quo.

Miles is the perfect character, and they have the perfect team to pull this off - while still
respecting Peter as the original and (hopefully) now being free to do something interesting with him.

    100% on board.

    Looking forward to it

I really enjoy Miles and Bendis Ult Spider-Man.

I for one voted yes because there was no unsure option, and I am cautiously optimistic about the project. I love both characters and want it to work. Also I frankly think more stories can be told with Miles moving forward than Peter who has been around fifty years now and pretty much done everything. Call me a traitor if you will, but that is what I genuinely believe.

Let's just say there were changes. I'd say more but I have no idea on how to do spoiler tags.

So whats gonna be different that clone saga didn't already do?

Peter is not seasoned or grown enough to leave a successor, he hasn't hit a mile stone in his work compared to his heroic peers. The Ends of the Earth was supposedly a start but that was the only thing notable from Spidey that counted.
