Listening to U2's new album "Songs of Experience" on Spotify during my break at work. I loved "Songs of Innocence", I'm liking what I'm hearing so far .

Mrs FluffySheep and I went to watch the Vengaboys and Steps tonight at the NIA in Birmingham. Pretty decent show. Seeing and hearing the Vengaboys took me right back to being a teenager!

VENGABOYS? Bloody hell, I thought they were finished years ago! That does take me back, I've still got their debut album LOL. As for Steps, well I knew they came back and all. Still, glad to hear you and your wife enjoyed the show.

I never was into them that much, but I have the same kind of nostalgia toward their songs. Glad to read you had a good time with them

They were way better than I was expecting. They had the whole arena up for it. Can't believe it's been nearly 20 years since they first came around.

I have an interview to study abroad. I have a meeting with a careers advisor on something crucial and I agreed to do something dumb on Wednesday.

All three decisions will change my entire life. Not sure if I can do that.

Making life changing decisions is hard enough but having to make 3 in the same week is intense! Just try and think them all through and don't be made to feel that you have to rush anything.

I finished 'Songs of Experience' and I think it's a fine album. Right now I'm revisiting U2's previous album 'Songs of Innocence', which I only listened to once, despite really enjoying it as well. With both albums, I feel as though it's U2 returning to form. Many of these songs could have fit well on one of their 80s albums, yet they come from a more mature place.

IMO they had grown a bit stale with their 2000s albums like 'Atomic Bomb' and 'No Line on the Horizon', going through the motions and repeating the same trick over and over. But on 'Innocence/Experience' they actually sound quite fresh, and even though they're pushing 60, they could still compete with many modern rock bands that are trending right now.

Between this, Foo Fighters' 'Concrete And Gold', and Tokimonsta's 'Lune Rouge', the final third of 2017 has seen a couple of nice albums in a year that otherwise left me cold music-wise.

In other news, I booked a mid-week stay in Paris (next week). I'm pretty much going into it blind, it will be the first time I visit Paris, or France at all for that matter. But I'm really looking forward to it after having spent the last couple weeks working pretty long shifts at the warehouse including Saturdays, I felt I barely had any time to unwind properly. So I'm glad to have some time off from that.
