X-Men... The gay geek gateway drug.

I enjoyed my time with them but not the parade in general.
Entitled little rich kids longing for social injustice brought onto them when there is none.
Not to mention the promiscuity in the air.
Definitely not something I'd align myself with. Almost got touched by a rogue boob.
My pride is a black and red fist fist with rainbow coloured veins and nails.
My cause? Those people weren't supporting my cause, I was supporting theirs because my friend (who is trans) asked me to participate. Marching with a bunch of gorgeous Jennifer Lawerence looking lesbians and handsome Chris Evans lookalikes you wouldn't know were actually born female unless they told you who also happen to be born into money is not supporting my cause (My friend does not fall into that category, however; he just happens to attend the same school). At the end of the day, those people don't have many social barriers to overcome visually or financially whereas I may have a barrier brought forth on my skin alone. Add my being a homosexual to that and BAM! I don't feel they shouldn't have a voice, I just don't feel there "struggles" aren't equal to many others and ultimately felt like I was marching for a good cause but with the wrong group of people. Basically the Morlocks with their outward mutations vs the super beautiful and perfect X-Men. Not to mention they pretty much faded the hell out of me because, surprise, not all black gay men are Ru Paul; I prefer to be the next Obama.
Furthermore, not supporting one cause doesn't mean you support the extreme opposite. Some people just don't give a **** about any cause. Life is too short.
On a side note: I get that we are all sexual beings (well... minus those whom are asexual) but I would love for porn and sex and drugs to not be a focal point of Pride. Can you imagine walking in a black american pride event and the only things being advertised are the negative aspects of the urban communities (viz., insert typical commercialized rap video; or, if the conservative/Southern bunch, overzealous Christian propaganda)? Talk about perpetuating preexisting and harmful stereotypes to a broader audience.
How did this get past the code?
I was trying to do too much and not doing any of it as well as I could. But I've had a change of mind... though not everyone shall enjoy it. I will.

I hope Celine Dion's new album will be available in the Philippines.
My country's version of Comic Con is this weekend. I'm moderating panels with Kelly Hu (X2's Lady Deathstrike) and Phil LaMarr (Mad TV, Justice League's Martian Manhunter).
I'm sad that I actually bought the first trade of the latest volume of Uncanny Avengers. Only for you, Rogue and Deadpool and Cable... and because the book seem VERY mutant friendly. I still feel very ashamed for buying an Avengers title in the current climate.
Great to see Morph, yes... but that name change for Vulcan seems more appropriate for use in some XXX-Men parody. And is that a tramped up version of Destiny next to Nightcrawler or is that Lilandra?

Off of the top of my head there were a couple of instances. First I can remember is from Millar's Ult X-men, not just bullet proof but also disguise their mutant genes from sentinel scans. The other, if I recall correctly, was from X-treme and it was mentioned that the uniforms were super durable.
