That sword fight was great. What gave it the extra edge (no pun intended) was what Wesley did in the beginning. As this gang of vampires start to approach, telling him how they're going to f' him up bad, Blade takes out his sword and draws a line in the ground. He doesn't shout that no one will cross the line. He just confidently does it.
"I am a man of peace."
"A man of peace...who fights like ten tigers."
"I am a man of peace."
"A man of peace...who fights like ten tigers."
And Blade 2 continued that trend. As soon as I saw the paramilitary henchmen with the taser sticks earlier in the film, I knew they'd be the fodder for Blade. And love how Blade retorts Reinholt's racist comment from before.:
"I am a man of peace."
"A man of peace...who fights like ten tigers."
In recognition of the final season of Cobra Kai, I wanted to post one of my favorite fights from season 5, Chozen vs. Terry Silver. There's great action in here, but what I liked about it were the personalities of each character. On one side, there's the conniving Terry Silver, who's schemes and plots have wrecked Daniel LaRusso's life. On the other is the honorable and merciless Chozen, who fiercely defends Daniel. It's the devil vs. the warrior. And it's well done:
"I am a man of peace."
"A man of peace...who fights like ten tigers."
From the Snipes library.
One of my favorite recents. Berserker doesn't give up easy.
